China agreed to buy $200 billion more in U.S. goods (over 2 years) above 2017 levels.

The U.S. suspended some tariffs, but kept many in place.

It included IP protection, forced tech transfer, currency transparency clauses.

2. Did China violate it?
Yes, but context matters:

China bought far less than pledged — by end of 2021, they had only fulfilled ~57% of the purchase targets.
