Janji dulu macam dewa,
Formula sana, formula sini,
Lepas naik, semua auta,
Tinggal drama lidah berapi.

Raja formula konon bijaksana,
Cakap berlapik macam ilmuwan,
Tapi rakyat makin merana,
Dia terus je letak jawatan.

Yang berjaya bukan si pakar,
Tapi raja mulut berbisa,
Hasut sikit, rakyat terkejar,
Janji manis, otak pun buta.

Cukai naik, harga menggila,
Toll kekal, kereta menjerut jiwa,
Rakyat terhimpit bagaikan domba,
Raja hasutan berlagak wira.

🤣

about subsidy rationalization.
you can see in the comments in fb, insta tiktok youtube that people hating so much on gov madani and especially pmx when gov announce about cutting the subsis or subsidy rationalization.

subsidy rationalization is to make sure that B40 and the people who really need help get the help.
when gov cutting the subsis, there will be an increase price especially in f&b. when f&b raises it prices, they blame the gov.

so, actually what do they want?
bangun tido, makan, goyang telur, tido?
*
DS Najib removed subsidies before — so why the outrage back then? Why the agitation and street protests? Simple: the goal at the time was power. Agree?

Today, when it's their turn to cut subsidies, it's rebranded as "rationalization", supposedly to nurture rakyat self-reliance.

But “subsidy mentality” isn't the root problem. It's a convenient narrative, carefully designed to deflect attention from the real issue: entrenched greed at the top.

Look closer: when subsidies are withdrawn, who suffers most?
Ordinary citizens: street sweepers, hawkers, working families.
And who continues to thrive?
Those living off government contracts, exclusive licenses, concessions — all forms of subsidy too, just hidden behind polished terms like “incentives,” “stimulus,” and “compensation.”

Want to preach self-reliance?
Start from the top. Slash ministerial perks. Dismantle monopolies. Abolish APs. Stop protecting Proton and Perodua. Open the markets.
Lead by example.

If not, it’s just the same old script; power teaching the people to tighten their belts, while the elite grow fat behind a curtain of nationalist slogans.

Some people are just too gullible; they parrot elite narratives without thinking, like brainless zombies.
As Tun Mahathir once said: "Orang Melayu mudah lupa."
That’s why it’s so easy to deceive, manipulate, and exploit them.

I don't care about all the narrative from whichever side but for me it is the time to stop subsis. If not sampai generasi berapa nak hidup tongkat?

So you think stopping all subsidies = instant progress?
Even so-called "advanced" countries subsidize their citizens. They don’t just leave them to rot in the name of “self-reliance”.

USA
  • SNAP (food stamps): Over 41 million people rely on it.
  • Section 8 housing: Rent support for the poor.
  • Medicaid: Subsidized healthcare for low-income families.
  • Farm subsidies: Billions handed to Big Agri yearly.
UK
  • Universal Credit: Monthly income support.
  • NHS: Free healthcare, funded by taxes.
  • Energy subsidies: Govt caps household bills during crises.
Germany
  • BĂĽrgergeld: Unemployment support.
  • Kindergeld: Monthly allowance per child, even for the middle class.
So don’t come with “sampai bila nak bertongkat?” when even rich nations prop up their people. That’s not tongkat — it’s a social contract. A nation isn’t a corporation. It has a duty to protect its weakest, not just reward the rich.

Now ask yourself:
Why are you fine with cronies living on government sugar, but angry when the rakyat gets rice?

You call it “rationalization”? Nah. If it starts at the bottom, while the top stays bloated — it’s just economic cruelty in a PR suit.

Let’s talk real tongkats:
  • APs for cronies
  • No open tender for mega projects
  • National car protectionism that burdens rakyat with overpriced tin cans
  • Ministerial perks + gaji pencen ganda
  • GLC bailouts while rakyat gets price hikes
Subsidies? The elites still get them — they’re just called “incentives”, “compensation”, “stimulus”, or “strategic allocations.”

Want “self-reliance”?
Start by chopping down golden canes before kicking the rakyat’s crutches.

So instead of asking,

“Sampai bila rakyat nak tongkat?”
try this:
“Sampai bila sistem nak jadi berat sebelah?”

Until then, don’t pretend it's about teaching the rakyat to stand.
Don’t preach survival-of-the-fittest when the game is rigged; you just want to kick away the poor’s walking stick while polishing the elite’s golden cane. wink.gif

I don't mind changing gov every GE or even every year
But your financial life won't be affected for good or for bad if every year tukar pun

Kalau tukar kerajaan tiap tahun pun tak ubah nasib rakyat, itu tandanya bukan kerajaan yang gagal — tapi sistem yang dah lama reput, penuh dengan parasit dan penjilat. Nak harap tukar baju tiap tahun tapi badan busuk tak mandi, memang bau tetap hapak. nod.gif
