For the past decades it was revealed that foreign students especially from China and India has been exporting national secrets and technologies back to their own countries.

QUOTE
82% (!) of Indian and Chinese Silicon Valley engineers report exchanging technical info with their home countries. This is why immigration from these countries erodes US tech leads.

~0 immigration from either is experts in areas where we're behind.

funny how people still believe all the fake news propaganda of it being because of baron trump getting rejected by harvard, which was proven false. The guy never ever applied to harvard.

It is quite true actually that foreign students could be siphoning and stealing academic papers of their university host country as spies exporting them back to their own countries quietly.

Their own home countries seldom innovate but just make clone improvements of what they acquire as the report reveals.

For too long they've been abusing the student visa system.

Using it as excuse to get into the country to seek jobs instead of studying.

Using the university research database to steal and transfer published papers back to their own country as theft.

Overseas foreign education is going to be a thing of the past for next generations to come. It won't be like boomer generations where our parents/grandparents where they studied overseas and enjoyed good employment after graduation.

During their time, the world population was just about half of today's 8+Billion with very much less competition.

Another conspiracy theory post from Twitter that has no basis in reality.

Somehow they think that companies with super secret tech are filled with foreign grads that don't contribute anything to the company?

Elon Musk literally mentioned before that they legally couldn't hire foreigners to work on SpaceX due to their technology.

Then it's best that the talents stay back in their own countries and help develop their own economies.

Why they must only be in foreign countries only they can thrive?

India should already be world Numba 1 if all their talents contributed to their own motherland.

World changes all the time. Don't be surprised the future is vastly different from what you have experienced in the past. Looking back in history, classical era vs medieval era vs industrial era vs post world wars era are all very different. The world might be at the threshold of a new era again which what most people have taken for granted so far will go away in the future, and the society and daily lives are vastly different from before.

If I am mistaken, about 80% of students from China go back home after graduation in recent years compared to last time where majority choose to stay in America. A lot who go overseas seems to develop a believe that China today is still better than America.

As for India students, up to 70% plans to stay instead of going home. India today was like China back in the 90s and that is why they could not do much in innovation. Things will probably change when India economy grows and there are more economic opportunities.

Thats exactly describe innovation..... using something current and try to make it better.

Same like what Japan did 2 generations ago that made our parents worshipped their products quality (aka "clone improvements").. Other countries simply took a page off their playbook.

Say what you want but for them go back home to work in their field of study is a great outcome. Meanwhile our locals ride local sponsored scholarships and end up working abroad. That's a messy situation every you want to paint it

Hmmm…

Usa print money, lend to their big corp, big corp lure talents with big money, innovate, hence they always leading.

Quite commonly agreed that usa is great because the best of best always go there.

Banning of foreign talents would be by far the worst self inflicted critical damage by TACO

These foreign talents brought in are just being used for the money in return. Once the cash runs out, they'll be the fastest to be laid off by American companies after they've served their purposes.

Only their motherlands truly appreciate their talents because they're the only trusted ones that truly help bring their 3rd world home countries out of poverty.

Just admit it, talents are lured to Western countries such as USA and Europe before this were all mostly motivated by the salaries/money factor.
