Uncle Kentang Helps To Relocate Dead Woman’s Wig After ‘Strange Noises’ In Mortuary Were Heard For 2 Months
Deeply affected by the incident, Uncle Kentang believes he was “chosen” to carry out her last rites.

Malaysian philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng, popularly known as Uncle Kentang, recently shared a haunting yet heartfelt experience involving the final rites of a deceased woman whose dying wish appeared to reach beyond the grave.

Unexplained sounds stir mortuary staff
The woman, who died on March 21, 2025, had no known next of kin.

In a post, Uncle Kentang shared that she was called in to oversee her funeral arrangements.

While handling the paperwork, a forensic officer issued him a peculiar warning: “Please put back her crown.”

The officer explained that strange noises had been repeatedly heard coming from the compartment where the deceased was stored.

These disturbances—banging and rustling sounds—persisted for weeks and only occurred around her compartment.

A dying woman’s plea
Tracing her final days led staff back to the emergency department of a hospital.

There, nurses remembered the woman well.

According to Uncle Kentang, the nurses had strongly insisted that no one touch her “crown,” which turned out to be a wig.

She wore it to maintain her appearance after losing her hair to cancer.

Hospital staff later confirmed the wig was accidentally left behind in the ward.

The forensic team promptly retrieved it and placed it next to her body in a paper box.

All noise ceased after the wig returned

Miraculously, Uncle Kentang claimed that the mortuary fell completely silent after the wig was returned.

There were no more sounds or disturbances. Staff members were convinced the act had brought her peace.

They urged Uncle Kentang to ensure the wig was properly worn before burial, warning him of potential consequences if her final request was ignored.

He then instructed a funeral cosmetologist to place the wig back on her with utmost care.

A graceful farewell

In line with what he believed to be her personality, Uncle Kentang arranged a dignified send-off at Jinjang Funeral Parlor, Kuala Lumpur, with two bouquets of fresh flowers prepared.

She was cremated at Cheras Crematorium, and her ashes were brought back for the wake.

Fulfilling the final promise
Deeply affected by the incident, Uncle Kentang believes he was “chosen” to carry out her last rites.

He emphasized that he would not settle for a “cin cai” (careless) funeral and vowed to do everything possible to trace her next of kin, as her mobile phone and bank cards remain in the hospital’s custody.

He also plans to scatter her ashes at Pulau Ketam jetty personally and invites anyone who wishes to join in giving her blessings to contact him.

this begs me to wonder how these forensics handle dead body everyday and sleep peacefully.

i myself dont believe in paranormal unless scientifically insane after working day and night then i might hallucinate myself and see/hear weird things.

again, the story from TS is fascinating yet i find it ridiculous.

By helping to bury the dead (with no relatives and family) will earn Mr Kuan a lot of merits.
