what i've seen so far....ppl have stop playing avs and moved past it for farming honor. But its ab daily quest so could have made a difference. But loads of ppl complaining how long av takes now.
*
because people arent used to not being able to EZ-mode farm honor now and they all go waa waa waaa.

sometimes people just forgotten that pvp is really that simple, which is to, player versus player. rewards are pretty much just icing on cake.

Well its pretty much a norm now that u use bg to farm honor and arena to serious pvp. I myself treat bg like a fun instance. Go in and just kill. Cbf guarding or winning. lol.
*
well thats mainly cuz ur honor capped. while the rest arent. but still, if all you think about bg is honor points, it will get old really really damn fast, and pretty much kill your fun.

=edit=
just played 2.3 av, and i have to say, blizz has done a VERY DAMN FINE job in correcting AV, and is on the right path of making it an actual BG.

and as for you whiners whining about av's lack of farmability, 400-600 honor in 20-30 mins, isnt so much different than pre 2.3, and mind you, its non-holiday AV.

While I understand why they changed AV, I must admit that I miss the old AV days. Tug of war over Snowfall for 3-4 hours. The only way to push is by either having the wolves + ground assault or even Lok/Ivus. Hell, I've been in games that last more than 24 hours, and this was before x realm. That was quite enjoyable, and employed a lot more tactics than the current rush zerg. i admit, I haven't tried 2.3, but from what I've read, its nothing like old AV either.
*
stalemates suck, nothing worthwhile to miss.
this AV do have tug of wars going on, but it aint gonna last over 24 hours, and thats great.

=edit=
oh as a matter of fact, ive won like 2 AV without killin vandarr, just lol zerg and kill them until reinforcements run out.

Horde strat : Wipe them at Galv> IB def > Stealther ninja 2 mines > Cap watever towers you can reach > Keep fighting till alliance run out of reinforcement.

I barely see any match reach Vandaar after 2.3 patch. By the time horde reach SPGY, alliance almost finish all their reinforcement and horde holds 300-400 gap away from alliance.
*
cuz having more reinforcements > *

if you manage to stay above 550 reinforcements, taking out ALL GY AND TOWERS, AND killing van, you gain ALMOST 800 honor...
while alliance... lol 0.

yes... 0.
lol. /pity
