KUALA LUMPUR, 26 Mei - Seorang lelaki berusia 44 tahun maut selepas ditetak dalam satu insiden di hadapan sebuah kuil di Kepong, malam tadi.

Mangsa yang bekerja sebagai pengawal keselamatan dipercayai terlibat dalam pertengkaran dengan seorang kenalan sebelum diserang.

Menurut Ketua Polis Daerah Sentul, Asisten Komisioner Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari, kejadian berlaku sekitar pukul 9:23 malam dan mangsa disahkan meninggal dunia di tempat kejadian akibat kecederaan parah.

“Sebelum kejadian, terdapat satu upacara sembahyang di kuil berkenaan pada petang semalam. Selepas selesai, sekumpulan individu dilihat duduk minum bersama di hadapan kuil.

"Difahamkan berlaku pertengkaran antara mangsa dan suspek sebelum suspek beredar dan kembali semula untuk menetak mangsa,” katanya kepada media.

Tambahnya, mangsa mengalami sekurang-kurangnya enam kesan tikaman di badan, selain kecederaan serius pada bahagian hidung, mulut dan tangan.

Mayat mangsa telah dibawa ke Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) untuk proses bedah siasat.
