Revisions by BYD include paring the price of its Seagull hatchback to 55,800 yuan (US$7,780 or RM32,609), a 20% reduction to a model that was already the carmaker’s cheapest and one that had garnered global attention for its sub-US$10,000 price tag. The Seal dual-motor hybrid sedan saw the biggest price cut at 34%, or by 53,000 yuan to 102,800 yuan.

Yes that’s the thought process. So all those subsidies and incentives they gave to manufacturers actually starting from the early days banyak just go tipu and scam and zaplap but they continued anyway cuz they want to eventually grow the whole supply chain so big and have a few world leaders throughout the supply chain
Started by Wan Gang, used to work at Audi in the 90s then returned to China to pursue this as the Minister of Science and Technology https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wan_Gang
See johnl77. That’s why China can’t increase the salaries and living standards of the b40. Money needed for stuff like this.
Some time outstion with axia , 1 full tank can reach 700+ km . City drive long distance also can reach 550++km easily . If daily short distance ( city ) drive the same full tank can only get like 400-450km saja .
Sure, until you see the additives. They use potassium alum in their youtiao, can read on Wikipedia. Then who knows what oil they use, gutter oil or oil bought from kerosene tanks?
what is the alum for?

The news these few days is BYD the next Evergrande?
Wei Jianjun, Chairman of GWMOTOR , said in an interview with Chinese media that the “Evergrande” of the auto industry has already emerged, but it it has not exploded yet.
He also accused carmakers of cutting corners on safety and reliability.
“Some products have been reduced from 220,000 yuan to 120,000 yuan in the past few years. What kind of industrial products can be reduced by 100,000 yuan and still have quality assurance? Well, this is absolutely impossible,” he said without naming any companies

The tank size is 32l. Theoretically at 22km/l can almost 700km but you need to stretch to the last drop and drive with the fuel gauge light on for 100 km ( it comes on at 1/6th tank left).
imagine after warranty BYD...or even 2nd hand siapa mau beli??
unker can see hugh issue later
if you read between the lines, the way things are going, in future any warranty problems , byd just you give you new replacement car. win win. they clear inventory, and you no need to buy extra car as spare parts
