I done this before. Direct go rumah oku donate necessities.

Then end up same, so many donation call and WhatsApp msg, asking for donations.

The one I donate is in KL, but call and message can come from as far as ipoh or johor. Wtf.

Now block all.

just ignore them and only donate when u can donate and within your limitation, you are doing the right thing, dont donate money because in the end only like 10 to 20% of the money u donate will really go to the people that need help

All these so-called "charity" is to pay themselves first before any monies is allocated for intended charitable use.

only person who doesn't need donation but depend on their own is real.

Many setup this for the purpose of their own besides the "charity"

it happened to me as well but it was for some retarded kids charity group or something
the guy asking me to donate also seemed a little retarded in the sense that he couldnt take the hint that i dont want to donate and to not follow up with me
this all happened right after i broke up with my ex
so my guess is either the white knight that took my sloppy seconds signed me up for these kind of charity shit or my ex did it just to spam me with this kind of shit
i end up giving them my ex's number and said that is my friend that will donate to you
it stopped them from reaching out to me for abit but after 1 year they will reach out again
im pretty pissy about it since the girl always act like a sore loser and do these kind of underhand tactics
but at the same time im also a little bit perasan thinking that my ex did it with a retarded charity group coz she thinks im retarded or something

I paid almost 20k in taxes last year, at least it's the government job to help this charity not me, imagine having to pay taxes & give charity, what am I supposed to survive? Eat sand everyday ? Government take my taxes & didn't help this charity ? Government seems to be only giving out dedak tongkat welfare zakat pension bantuan hutang x mao bayar lifestyle to their own species. That's my observation

sikit sikit call scam

even schools also ask their staff and students to seek out donations from the public and corporate sponsorship from companies and that includes writing emails to companies.

And yes, to those who have donated before, the principal specifically asked us to call back/to write in to them again. laugh.gif because there is a higher chance of success from those who have donated before.

so, nothing unique about charitable organisations having their staff to go all out to seek donations from the public.

of course, not all charitable organisations are legitimate but even the legitimate ones still need to find ways to survive. So, it's normal to have staff involved in soliciting donations from the public.

even Tzu Chi send reminders to those who have stopped their regular donations.
