This one proton lah , tanjung malim mari
*
assembled locally, not made locally because CCP brand wanted to save as much cost as possible

the irony part is china is the leading country in steel production and they can't produce top quality parts for their cars rclxub.gif

This is the most important question. Designed by Geely or Proton? Made by Geely or Proton?

Inb4 Wolf Warriors say Geely only minority 49.9% shareholder in Proton so they not responsible.
*
no parts of anything geely is made here...they deemed it too expensive for them
which is why every parts had to be shipped in from china

that's why whatever that's broken in a geely nowadays or any china cars need 2 months to replace...with or without warranty rclxub.gif

That is the surprising part. I was under the impression that the Proton Saga was STILL made locally when I accompanied my client to do Pre-Delivery Inspection. Manatau was told that everything now comes from China. Terkejut sial.
*
certain parts are still produced locally which is why u don't see part shortage for local models compared to geely cars

but 1 thing that i know is now from china is their power window regulator
they already resolved that problem 17 years ago but now problem came back meaning they switched supplier again, this time is china rclxub.gif

Campro is made partly by Perodua in Sg Chua. But seeing that parts like the gearbox and interior lights are direct Geely parts bin not surprised if certain parts made in china by Geely supplier
*
gearbox is from aisin bro

maybe after this proton will use this as an excuse to change all supplier to china.. claiming the local one quality tak boleh pakai.
*
they already did...like for 2 years already if not wrong

local quality is better but CCP too cheapskate

Wolf Warriors still say Tanjung Malim lol.
*
tanjung malim is an assembly plant....not a manufacturer plant

car manufacturer in fact don't manufacture anything...they're only designer and assembler

all the other parts are made from bosch, denso, APM, aisin, GMB...etc etc

QUOTE(Sichiri @ May 26 2025, 10:37 AM)
why use good steel when you can max profit using shit steel and pass it off as good steel?  bruce.gif

your product represent your country's image

that's why USA always use that slogan to advertise their product last time
if it's built american, it's gonna last....and they actually did that

china could've made their car tough and give middle finger to USA but they didn't and missed the opportunity
