As I have said before, democracy may not be the best practice in some countries, especially ones where governments are voted in on condition of giving freebies to greedy voters, and elected reps are only there to fill their pockets.
Monarchy may be more suited when changes/reforms are needed, as there is no issue or worry of 'losing in next election'.

My theory is that this is what they want you to believe. Trump already disillusioned and bought their 'hospitality' and 'openness' hook line and sinker. Already lifted sanction on Syria which is led by former ISIS man. Open AI building huge data centers and Stargate in UAE, which to me is a serious security concern.
What if all this is just a show, and the greater plan is to gain trust and then overpower? Afterall, many of them openly state that their ultimate goal is total world dominance and destruction or subjugation of unbelievers. I would be very stingy with trust.
