Usually minister travel whole family and their close relatives together … and their ground tour and fnb + shopping expenses will claim as well …
do you even have proof?I can't tell any bout other states but most Sarawakian high ranking officials
uses private jets and helicopters to travel either to KL or deep in the pendalaman.
They rarely stay overnight in those places, so that they can deal other issues and meetings the next day
This is where the most bulk cost of TRANSPORTATION goes.
And the cost to just charter a group of government servants into the rural just for work is costly
Most of it includes renting a boat and the operator for a few days,
booking homes for accommodations where no hotel existed and
bringing prepared pack food for the trips.
Now I'm not to say some of them didn't abuse this availability to their own interest,
but the one I know, personally, is usually the multiple daytrips shopping/medical to KL from Kuching
from a certain you know who, that she will not be named.
Most YB/MP I know ONLY takes year end holiday with their families.
Rarely they bring their families but instead they usually brings staffs and hired people to tag a long.
And usually they have free and easy day to sight seeing and shopping. That is pretty common.
I used to work in government so free and easy day after a lengthy annual course
is pretty much allowed. Sometimes, they ask you,
where you want to go with the chartered bus?
Go see strawberry farm? Go eat Satar at the beach?
Go to the mall? Go to KLCC?
