Hi everyone,

I am looking for a psychiatrist in or around damansara area for my conditions.... my current psychiatrist only deals with point 1 but doesnt do point 2 (ive asked)... also i find they are a lil expensive n kinda far for me.... so wondering if anyone knows any good psychiatrist around the area.

1/ i have been diagnosed with chronic insomnia so for this condition i basically just need a psychiatrist that has my usual sleeping pills.

2/ pretty sure im having psychological erectile disfunction. i have my reasons for thinking of that. so would like someone who can deal with mental+sexual issues. no, i havent done any blood test etc (but i intend to soon hopefully), but since i have to see a psychiatrist for my insomnia anyway, might as well look into this at the same time.

if anyone is or seeing a psychiatrist that might help me, pls post the name of the clinic.

thanks alot!

I've counselled people with perceived mental + sexual issue when it comes to performance in bed.

Would recommend that if you could, rule out any physical factors before moving on to mental / behavioral factors. Therefore your blood test would be definitely helpful for your service providers to diagnose your potential issues.

Remember to to include any additional factors such as medications (finasteride / minoxidil / dutasteride); supplements (magnesium / iron / herbals) when you disclose to healthcare service providers.

It's easier to rule out objective findings rather than subjective first, while you are searching for your ideal counselor / therapist / psychiatrist.

yeah this makes sense and will definitely get my blood test etc done asap.

would still like to find a psychiatrist that can do my pills as well. besides the costs, im not too happy with my current psychiatrist so was looking to switch anyway, so just decided to include the ED thing as well.

Yeah, usually the patients that has potential ED, chances are its temporary (mental / behavioral) or due to other correlated chronic illnesses or metabolic dysfunctions. Once its ruled out then its easier to not only come to diagnosis but also recommend for further consultation with specialists.
