Why not. The dates usually best before dates. Some don't even have expiry dates.

Dried processed food no issues. Canned food depend on can condition. SPAM lasts forever. Frozen foods also no issues if you don't mind texture and some taste changes and it's kept frozen.

Technically, these will last years past due date as long as the container/packaging is not damaged.

Tesco/lotus great to shop for clearance items. They have some premium imported products going for cheap.

Will not buy. I have experienced a few product where i bought but did not consume until it is 3 months from expiring.
The taste become off. Some examples are, instant coffee, granola bars.

Nowadays I’m even open to eat expired food lol. But those I bought and terlupa then expired la. Not those ppl bagi me expired.

I’m not opposed to buying near expired food. I park it under “experiment”. Experience food that I don’t normally will buy. Experience if the food still stay good.

Most still retain it taste. Some biscuit might taste different already. Seafood no need say la. It don’t feel as fresh so I seldom buy. Like those frozen lamb still ok. But you sendiri see the condition.

If its bad, at least it will be a kopitiam topic of experience to talk with friends lol.
