How are you charging your EV?
Saw on PT that BYD is 1st then Proton... just wondering how the charging is happening?
Also are you from KL mainly or from other states as well?
Finally how often and how long do you charge your car? Petrol, once a week and it takes 15 mins max to pump...

Yup that happened in my workplace basement parking. I thought building management provided it, so I try to apply but denied, they said they have no such service .Sekali depa curik itu letrik daaa. Hopefully gov can come out with some policy to encourage building owner, high rise building management to install the charger at every parking spot, of course they should meter it or all the cost shall be borne by the occupant/tenant/home owner and meter it to TNB.

So either stay at landed or buy an upper end condo. New condo's usually have EV charging allocated. even mid range condo is being retrofitted with charging bays. Mu condo management just installed 2 charging bays but havent seen anyone using it yet. There are a few EVs in the parking lot. Maybe they charge at work.

Better stick to ICE car to avoid such inconvenience. No need to rush to be early adopters. One day when everything is really in place for widespread EV adoption, then only switch over.

Now is waste money but create lots of headache in return. If thought EV = environmental friendly, that’s ignorant syok sendiri.

i remember got a guy buy Tesla then found out cannot install charger in condo. End up have to sell it within the same year bought. Most ppl try to tekan the seller price, dunno how much he sold it in the end

mine too.. last month MC got approval to install 2 at public car park for charging..

if u have 2 parking lots...

management collaborate with one of the charging companies to install few chargers. charging is not free.

really not sure bcs never been around that area before.. looked back at the AGM notice no mention on the charges

Dear Residents,
Following the approval obtained in the 10th AGM, we would
like to hereby announce the implementation of new additional by-laws (House Rules)
as below:-
a) EV(Electric Vehicle) charging bay are to be booked using Jagaapp.
Each residential unit shall be limited to four (4) hours per session. Vehicles are to be
removed from the bay by midnight and no overnight charging permitted.
b) Violations - Common Areas being used for storing personal items -
A penalty of RM200.00 shall be imposed for each violations found.
c) Vehicle Clamping release fee shall be imposed as RM50.00 per day & shall accrue
for every consecutive day till the clamp is being released.
The new Additional by-laws(House Rules) shall be effective from 14th March 2025.

generally, installation is paid commonly…. charging costs to whomever uses.. possibly only tenants and guests

my apartment is the old type… ground floor all carpark…ground level…apartments above… public parking is non covered… open space… from the 6, 2 are assigned for electric charging.. for individual installation, no mention..
