If vaping doesn't have second-hand vapor/smoke, then I would not give much thought, let the adults choose their own poison.

But the problem is does effect others:
And they simply vape it everywhere, even non-smoking area.

Don't show your bodohness in public bro, quite malu. So you mean to say the vapor vapers blowing got heavy metal particles flying inside together? Try saying that out loud maybe you can realize how stupid that sounds.

The only controlled substance in an e-liquid is nicotine, which is also found in small traces on the fruits and vegetables you eat on a daily basis. The other ingredients is PG (Propylene Glycol) & VG (Vegetable Glycerin). PG and VG are widely accepted food additives regularly used in the food industry

You do know 99.9% of e-liquids on the market uses flavoring from a company called TFA (The Flavor Apprentice, https://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/t-Culinary.aspx) and Capella (https://capellaflavors.com/) which is a company that does flavoring for drinks. These flavorings are in all your soft drinks, used in baking, coffee syrup flavorings, etc. This companies main business is supplying to beverage companies.

So please before you post rubbish, try to do some research or don't post at all.

sure, flavoring for you to eat

if you burn it for smoke, and you argue the content is the same? even it is the same, the same ingredient directly go to lung and it is safe?

It is the fate of degradation…. Ciggies and cigar has slower effect, I believe. Plus vape has solvent that cause the lungs to shrink rapidly, even for second hand smokes!

If I have to eat the poisons from vegetables, I certainly don't need more poisoning from your vape vapour you spew out.

I avoid soft drinks and I don't add syrup flavour to coffee, so please don't make me inhale that flavouring from your vaping.

for something with LD in mg range, he is saying like it is harmless lol

The lethal dose (LD50) of nicotine is estimated to be between 6.5 and 13 mg/kg for humans. This means that a dose of 6.5 to 13 milligrams of nicotine per kilogram of body weight would be expected to kill 50% of a population if administered orally. For a typical adult weighing 70 kg, this translates to approximately 455 to 910 mg of nicotine.

This is the issue with Malaysians, love to act smart but half of the time have zero idea what you talking about.

Do you even understand the difference between smoke and vapor? You're misunderstanding the process. E-liquid is never burned, it's gently heated into vapor. When substances are burned (like cigarettes), harmful byproducts like tar and carbon monoxide form. Vaporizing avoids these toxic byproducts, delivering only heated ingredients already proven safe for consumption in foods and beverages.

So when you place flavoring in your hot coffee, are you going to die the next day? When you use diffuser with essential oil everyone in the room breathing it going to die?

No one is saying vaping is safe, any foreign smoke inhaled into your lungs be it smoke from factory, car exhaust and every toxic thing you breathe on a daily basis is bad. But vaping is not the NUMBER 1 killer like the media is trying to portray it to be. It is definitely a safer alternative to analog cigarettes hence why you can see how UK treats it to help citizens quit smoking analog cigs.

Vape to me is more harmful to non smokers than cigarettes. Vapers do it indoors - I have detected vape smell in aeroplane too. They steal a puff or two - something they can't do with cigarettes.

some even go great length and claim nicotine is beneficial substance

While nicotine's potential benefits in areas like cognitive enhancement and mood regulation have been explored, claims of nicotine benefits for overall health or disease prevention are largely unsupported by scientific evidence. Many purported benefits are based on misinformation or misinterpretations of research findings, and tobacco companies have historically used such claims to downplay nicotine's harmful effects.
Elaboration:
Misinterpretations of Research:
Some studies suggest that nicotine can have positive effects on cognition, such as improved attention and memory. However, these findings are often misinterpreted to suggest that nicotine is beneficial for overall health or that it can cure diseases like Parkinson's. For example, a study linking smoking to a lower risk of Parkinson's disease was later found to be due to smokers dying young from other smoking-related illnesses.
Tobacco Industry Influence:
Tobacco companies have actively promoted the benefits of nicotine while minimizing its health risks, particularly in the context of electronic cigarettes. They have used strategies like funding research that suggests nicotine benefits and downplaying its addictiveness and health risks.
Nicotine's Harmful Effects:
Nicotine is a highly addictive substance that poses significant health risks, including an increased risk of cardiovascular, respiratory, and gastrointestinal disorders. It also negatively impacts immune function and reproductive health.
Misconceptions about Stress Relief:
Some individuals believe that nicotine products help with stress relief, but this is a misconception stemming from nicotine withdrawal and the temporary effects of nicotine. Vaping and smoking can actually worsen symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Importance of Critical Evaluation:
It is crucial to critically evaluate information about nicotine's benefits, especially when it comes from sources that may have a vested interest in promoting the product. Always seek information from credible sources and be aware of potential biases.
In conclusion, while nicotine may have some specific, limited benefits in certain areas, it is important to remember that it is a highly addictive and harmful substance. Claims of nicotine benefits for overall health or disease prevention are largely unsupported by scientific evidence and should be approached with skepticism.
