Amendments to Singapore Law Could See Citizens Jailed for Refusing Vaccination - LifeSite
https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/amendment...ng-vaccination/

Here are the breakdown of the laws that have been passed:

QUOTE
Singapore has tightened its laws around mandatory vaccinations, opening the door to criminal prosecution for those who refuse to submit to government-mandated injections.

According to amendments made in 2023 and 2024 to Sections 47, 65, and 67 of Singapore’s 1976 Infectious Diseases Act (IDA), people who refuse to get vaccinated when directed to by the government could be considered criminals.

As the text of Section 47 of the IDA states:

(1) In an outbreak or a suspected outbreak of any infectious disease in any area in Singapore, the Director-General of Health may by order direct any person or class of persons not protected or vaccinated against the disease to undergo vaccination or other prophylaxis within the period specified in the order.

(2)  In addition to the power conferred by subsection (1), where it appears to the Director-General of Health that —

        (a) an outbreak of an infectious disease in any area in Singapore is imminent; and
        (b) it is necessary or expedient to do so for the securing of public safety,

the Director-General of Health may by order direct any person or class of persons not protected or vaccinated against that infectious disease to undergo vaccination or other prophylaxis within the period specified in the order.

(3)  Any order made under subsection (1) or (2) may specify the person by whom and the manner in which the vaccination or other prophylaxis is to be carried out.

(4)  Where any order is made under subsection (1) or (2), the Director-General of Health must cause notice of the effect of the order to be given in such a manner as the Director-General of Health thinks necessary for bringing it to the notice of all persons who in the opinion of the Director-General of Health ought to have notice of it.

As per Section 51 of the same IDA, “any person who contravenes any provision of this Part, or fails to comply with any notice given under section 46 or order made under section 47, shall be guilty of an offense.”

Outlining the draconian penalties in store for offenders of these amended legislations, Section 65 of the IDA states:

Any person guilty of an offense under this Act for which no penalty is expressly provided shall —

(a) in the case of a first offence, be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both; and

(b) in the case of a second or subsequent offence, be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.

Put simply, people who refuse vaccination may be imprisoned for up to 6 months or receive a fine of up to SGD$10,000, or both, for a first offense. Repeat offenders may be jailed for up to 12 months and receive a fine of up to SGD $20,000, or both.

Moreover, Section 67 of the IDA exempts the Singapore authorities from any liability, with the text reading:

No liability shall lie personally against the DirectorGeneral of Health, the DirectorGeneral of Public Health, the DirectorGeneral, Food Administration or any Health Officer, adjunct Health Officer, Port Health Officer or police officer who, acting in good faith and with reasonable care, does or omits to do anything in the execution or purported execution of this Act.

In other words, members of the Singapore public cannot sue the authorities for any side effects they may suffer resulting from compelled vaccination or other so-called medical treatments.

The amendments have caused alarm for certain Singaporeans, including the People’s Power Party (PPP).

In a Facebook post dated April 14,  PPP politician Derrick Sim lambasted the stringent amendments:

Section 47, 65 and 67 of the Infectious Disease Act were amended and in effect since 2023.If you choose not to go for vaccination during the next pandemic, you will be deemed to commit an offence. You will be criminalized. The penalty for first time offence is 6 months imprisonment or up to $10,000 fine, or both. Do you support this ridiculous law?

In the lead-up to Singapore’s parliamentary elections on May 3,2025, Sim, who has a degree in biotechnology and vaccine manufacturing, actively campaigned at political rallies and on national television for medical freedom in the tiny city-state.

During the height of COVID-19, the Singapore government enacted various draconian measures coercing many Singaporeans, including those who were unwilling to take the experimental COVID-19 vaccinations, to either take the jab or lose their job.”

Even priests and religious in Singapore had to undergo the dangerous COVID-19 inoculations, and vaccination was even made mandatory for Mass attendance. Despite people suffering injuries from the experimental COVID shots, the Singapore authorities censored and discouraged public discussion. People who dared question the Singapore government’s narrative were silenced, humiliated, and discredited by the authorities and their media echo chambers.

To me, it's reasonable if the governments mandate or force Pandemic-vaccination only for vulnerable class of persons, eg old folks with comorbidities, and not for everyone, eg young and healthy folks, ... and let the former have the choice of inactivated or mRNA (= unproven to be safe long term) or Adenovirus-based vaccines.

Ewww, dajjal.

If the vaccine actually works, you don't need to enforce it, it will sell by itself.

The only entity that is receiving the real immunity are pharmaceutical companies and their cohorts.

Without proper testingbat first, with the first batch of people being guinea pigs, and the requirement to take minimum 3 times.

Yes.

I have seen and talk to many anecdotal cases to lead me to believe that vaccines are not necessarily good for you and can be harmful

They don't care for any of your suggestion, they don't even care if you have already built immunity to the virus.

They want everyone to shut the fuck up and get your vaccine like nice little children.

You have zero rights like those cows in the cage.

MOH debunks fake news on Singapore doing first Covid-19 autopsy and jailing those unvaccinated

SINGAPORE – Two pieces of fake news made about Covid-19 in Singapore have been debunked by the Ministry of Health (MOH), as it urged the public to not spread unsubstantiated claims that may cause public alarm.

On June 3, the ministry said it is aware of “two pieces of misinformation” currently being spread on social media.

The first has to do with a message claiming that Singapore was the first country to conduct an autopsy on a person who had tested positive for Covid-19, which it said was found to exist as a bacterium and not a virus.

The claim was first circulated in 2021, and re-emerged recently.

“This is false. As clarified by the ministry then, Singapore has not performed such an autopsy, and it is also not true that Covid-19 is caused by a bacterium,” said MOH.

It also said social media posts alleging that Singapore had enacted laws to mandate vaccines and jail those unvaccinated after Microsoft founder Bill Gates visited the Republic in early May are not true.

The Straits Times found that such claims had been published in articles on two websites – Slay News and The People’s Voice – which tout themselves as news sites.

Slay News describes itself as “unapologetically pro-America and pro-free speech”, while The People’s Voice says it covers “topics the mainstream media won’t touch”.

A search online shows that Slay News’ website is registered in North Carolina, and a check of its address in Google Maps shows what looks to be a small farmhouse on a highway stretch.

The People’s Voice, meanwhile, has its website registered in Arizona, although it has no listed company address.

Most of the articles published on both sites centre around right-wing ideology, conspiracy theories and anti-vaccine rhetoric, with fact-checking website Snopes labelling The People’s Voice as a rebrand of disinformation-spreading site NewsPunch.

For accurate and up-to-date information, members of the public should visit the MOH website at www.moh.gov.sg instead.

The EXACT law is still firm. It means that in the event of EMERGENCY or NEXT PANDEMIC declared by the Director General of Health, if vaccination is COMPULSORY means EVERY CITIZEN is FORCED to take UNLESS the person has VALID REASONS to be EXEMPTED.

The provisions state that the director-general of health may direct "any person or class of persons not protected or vaccinated against the disease to undergo vaccination" when "an outbreak of an infectious disease... is imminent" and "it is necessary or expedient to do so for the securing public safety".

"The authorities must show these two requirements are satisfied before they can impose any vaccine mandate," Eugene Tan, an associate professor of law at Singapore Management University, told AFP on May 29 (archived link).

Penalties for failing to be vaccinated under the amendments would include a fine of up to 10,000 Singapore dollars (around US$7,760) and a prison term of up to six month for the first offence, while a second offence would see the punishment doubled.

Tan said the penalties, however, would only apply when a vaccine mandate is in place, though the "likelihood of such a scenario is very low".

He added that the statutes within the law make a blanket vaccine mandate "highly exceptional because they are severely intrusive and people cannot be compelled to be vaccinated".

Too much power placed in the hands of the Director-General of Health.

Authorities in the event of emergencies can always place mandates and threats on the public over fear.

It allows an opening for an Orwellian style administration.

Look no further and see for yourself what is unveiling in the Western First World nations right now.

Their politicians LIED to their own people saying that there's a shortage of talents and skilled labor in the country but in actual FACT they actually wanted more PEASANT SLAVES to push down their own local wages, increase foreign voters pool who pledge their support to the government in return for residency/citizenship, decrease bargaining power, inflate demand for housing and rents.
