Teluk Intan: Kegagalan fungsi stereng dipercayai menjadi punca lori membawa muatan batu merempuh lori Pasukan Simpanan Persekutuan (FRU) Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) di Sungai Lampam, Simpang Tangki Air, Langkap, di sini, mengakibatkan sembilan anggota pasukan itu terbunuh.

Ketua Polis Perak, Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin berkata, lori FRU dari Unit 5 yang membawa 18 orang anggota itu dalam perjalanan pulang ke Ipoh sesudah selesai penugasan perayaan Chitra Pournami di Hilir Perak.

"Ketika sampai di tempat kejadian, lori FRU Unit 5 itu dirempuh dari hadapan oleh lori yang membawa muatan batu yang dipercayai mengalami kegagalan fungsi stereng," katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Menurutnya, lapan anggota FRU Unit 5 termasuk pemandu lori itu meninggal dunia di tempat kejadian, manakala enam yang lain cedera parah selain empat orang lagi cedera ringan.

i don't know but for me this is the most useless department ever existed

by comparing population & area of landmass, malaysia number of government departments/ministries really are TOO MUCH & UNNECESSARY. many departments are truly USELESS & functions overlapping causing government procedures confusions & huge wastage of fundings. one of the most unnecessary & useless department is JAKIM.

malaysia - population 33m, area 330000 km2 = 27 ministries

poland - population 38m, area 312000 km2 = 20 ministries

south korea - population 52m, area 100000 km2 = 18 ministries

australia - population 26m, area 7.7m km2 = 21 ministries

canada - population 40m, area 9.9m km2 = 30 ministries
