many sources are saying it, the distributor should deny it if it is not true for its long term image

its fair to say based on a honda design (not sure if licensed), but calling it a honda engine isn't right

I watched the video - it says they use the same component manufacturers and parts are equal replacement

I am thinking if the Chinese cannot copy the components, they can ask the manufacturer to make with the same dimension spec for them, maybe same brand, but maybe the grade is lesser or lower. For example I've inquired before, same spare part, same ABS material, will have different grade of ABS at different cost price level.

In general, I'd say it's a good news knowing

ALL BSH says is that Honda's use Honda engine.

doesn't say if other manufacturer uses a rebaged honda engine or a cloned honda engine.

But bike manufacturers have been using other people's engines for the longest time, either a copy or built under license, so its not unusual.

Bajaj has been using a lot of smaller KTM engines, and the small Triumph 400s are built by Bajaj.
CFMOTO has been using 800 and 1250 KTM engines, some say the 450's are based on the yamaha CP2 design, and the 650 and 700s are kawazaki designs.
BMW using TVS and engines built by Loncin (as is the VOGE 900).
QJ has the old suzuki 650 vtwin
Morini uses kawazaki engines
Kove uses KTM engines

And that doesnt include bikes that share the entire platform. Like the CF 800s and some scooters.

I think this was caused by many influencers uttered something like "jangan risau, ini pakai enjin Honda"

Who can claim as such when the authorised distributor said -

"Honda engines are proprietary, exclusively engineered, and manufactured by Honda. Our advanced technology is not shared, licensed, or supplied to any other motorcycle brands in Malaysia."

honestly it might not be built to the same standards or specs...

have a kriss mr3, basically a zongshen, essentially a combination of clone ex5 engine parts. so when stuff fails, we can replace with honda bits, direct pnp. but we all for the most part agree, the hondas are more refined, less problematic and last longer.

Just based off the reviews in China, this is a decent Forza clone (reverse-engineered engine, not supplied by Honda).

Still, the brand is too small in China, few years down the road you can't even be sure that the model will continue to exist so you may have problems sourcing the parts. This is not your CFMOTO/QJ/Zontes, those are way bigger in China.
