the whole tariff thing is just a wayang for leverage.
though trump irrational, i'm pretty sure even he knows that long term high tariff on the rest of the world will not benefit US.

classic wayang of create problem, solves the problem, bcoms hero.

QUOTE(A2Z2U @ May 13 2025, 12:40 AM)
US biggest export is its dollar. They want the world to transact in US dollar. How can they maintain their financial hegemony if they don't let China and the rest of the world earn US dollar.

yes, everything US has been doing since WW2 is to protect the USD as world reserve currency.
Japan try to rise in the 80s, US pull ot bck down by changing the rule book.
now it's just the same thing wit china.
whether US will succeed, or china now too big to be pulled down, only time will tell.

even if every countries cease to do business wit china, india is not even a good alternatives. india is just simply not ready.
like really, if u every try to open a production factory in india for example. so many hoops u need to jump through just to get things going.
& when things got going, the working ethnic is pretty shitty.
demand this & that, sikit2 mogok, can be serious until they burn down your factory.
the people are still pretty divided, sexist, & in a lot of the province, class status is still a thing. if u're born in that class, u'll be forever there & some dont even let u take jobs that is outside your class.

this is y, even if china ceased to be the world factory, companies will look at other south east asia region as doing business in india is troublesome & tough.
