if she's going to the hospital alone, (you drop her and leave) understandable she'd want electric wheelchair
but if there's always someone coming with, talk to her it's okay to get normal wc too as long it is lighweight, foldable, has handbrakes, small wheels etc. tell her don't feel guilty. it's not a huge burden to push a bit while in the hospital. after all she can still stand and walk. Just like my parents la. I don't mind pushing the wc. at 80+ yo, I don't trust them to manoeuvre it themselves. electric or otherwise
I don't hv experience with electric type, but you can always ask other patients that use one when you see them at the hospital. they know best
