It’s combination of radar locking system, the plane merely fire the air to air missile locked on by other radar system which was communicated to the jet. The jet on its own doesn’t have the power to run such long range radar.

India is like you bought multiple devices that run on different system. Your phone is iOS, your tablet Android, your smart watch Huawei…. All no synergy.

Pakistan mostly all PRC products, they work in synergy as a coherent system. Hence they can fire ultra long range air to air missiles even though the enemy is beyond the plane radar detection.
