Cops, MCMC spend over 5 hours at Scrut Auto, take over influencer's FB

A joint team of police and MCMC officers spent over five hours yesterday at the Scrut Auto vehicle inspection workshop in Kuala Lumpur, executing a search warrant against its founder and social media influencer Aliff Ahmad.

Sekumpulan polis bersama pegawai MCMC menghabiskan lebih lima jam semalam di bengkel pemeriksaan kenderaan Scrut Auto di Kuala Lumpur untuk melaksanakan waran geledah terhadap pengasasnya, yang juga pempengaruh media sosial, Aliff Ahmad

Menurut peguam Aliff, Haziq Aizuddin Subhi, mereka tiba di premis berkenaan kira-kira 5 petang dan membawa anak guamnya ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Pudu jam 11 malam.

“Dia (Aliff) menyerahkan telefon bimbitnya sekitar jam 5 petang. Mereka mahu mengakses akaun Facebook miliknya, tetapi berlaku ‘masalah log masuk’ yang menyebabkan situasi itu berlarutan hampir ke tengah malam,” kata Haziq kepada Malaysiakini.

Pada 25 April lalu, Aliff dipanggil untuk disoal siasat di ibu pejabat MCMC di Cyberjaya, berhubung tawarannya untuk menjalankan semakan latar belakang secara mendalam terhadap Naib Presiden PKR, Nurul Izzah Anwar, melalui satu sistem dikenali sebagai “Scrut Analytica”.

Scrut Analytica pada asalnya digunakan untuk membantu pembeli kereta terpakai menyemak latar belakang pemilik kenderaan terdahulu, namun Aliff turut menggunakan sistem itu sebagai alat untuk menyemak profil awam ahli-ahli politik terkenal.



Haziq berkata anak guamnya dibawa ke IPD Pudu hampir dua jam, sebelum akses ke akaun Facebook 'Aliff Ahmad' diambil alih oleh MCMC.

“Kami keluar dari ibu pejabat polis sekitar jam 12.45 pagi. Semasa berada di dalam, kami terdengar mereka kata kalau tak dapat log masuk akaun itu, siasatan tak boleh diselesaikan.

“Kalau siasatan tak selesai, kertas siasatan tak boleh dihantar ke Jabatan Peguam Negara. Akhirnya, Aliff bantu mereka log masuk ke akaun Facebook miliknya,” jelas Haziq.


Tambah Haziq, sepanjang sesi soal siasat terbaru itu, anak guamnya tetap menyatakan kesediaan untuk berdepan pertuduhan di mahkamah.

Aliff sebelum ini mendakwa telah diganggu oleh MCMC selepas satu pasukan penyiasat datang ke rumahnya untuk menyerahkan notis ketika dia tiada di rumah, dan kemudian dimaklumkan mengenai siasatan lanjut terhadap empat hantaran di media sosial.

I read the news and it is like this.

The guy runs SCRUT that checks vehicle history for used car buyers.

The guy now wants to delve into people background checking business. Something like private investigators la.

But if you think of it in business way, and the cars are people, that means the company has to use all methods to find anything that has this persons name on it. Like CTOS & CCRIS that you can purchase financial records from.

So lets say you SCRUT se7en, and they managed to dig more than whats available on the web. What do you think if those info fell into se7en's enemy or competitor?

That is why "PRIVATE" investigators are called private. This SCRUT guy wanna go public with that kind of service.

And he chose to make use of a politician as a marketing material.

I think this guy should have just kept his mouth shut
