FORMER mixed doubles shuttler and Olympic silver medallist Goh Liu Ying (pic) has welcomed her second child on Tuesday, Sin Chew Daily reported.

She announced the birth in a social media post. Goh, best known for her partnership with shuttler Chan Peng Soon, gave birth to her first child, a boy, on National Day in 2023.

Goh and Chan were consistently ranked among the top 10 mixed-doubles pairs in the world. They reached a career high in 2012, after being ranked as world number three and won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The pair announced their split in December 2021 after 13 years of playing together.
