By right, the best possible outcome is

1. Very likely but China will insist on some protection on their critical industries.
2. Very unlikely US will fully agree to this, but they will allow some to go through and maybe even allow Google to go back to Huawei as it's actually not disadvantage to US.
3. Very unlikely US will stop sales of weapons to Taiwan but they won't sell advance equipment like F35 but older models like F16. Need to get rid of stocks. China will agree to buy US treasury but US will not restrict their cheap products from entering US. Shein and Temu will be happy. China probably will agree to setting up EV factories in US and sell their EVs there, but US auto companies will be screwed in the long run as they not only have to compete with Japan and South Korea but now China too.

But we are talking about Trump and his merry man. So, I doubt it's going to be like this.

1. even with lower tariffs, with the removal of de minimis clause, temu and shein cannot enter us market also.
2. surprisingly, without usa chips, chinese ev industry will die. so china has quietly removed tariffs for those. as for AI chips, i don't think there will be any breakthrough.
3. is not possible. it will need congress to repeal some acts. the executive and legislature is separate. plus usa already has tesla. china holds no cards here.


they can offer to stop alibaba nvidia ai chips to china for guaranteed lowest tariff rate.
