QUOTE(68 others @ May 7 2025, 06:44 AM) china can do it better and cheaper only if the product can withstand the test of time… and this is something, even china has to be patient.. eg watches… china has been producing excellent quality watches for decades…one of the top brand is seagull… goes back a long way, with some achievements and with quality… however little is known in the real world..

QUOTE(eyerule @ May 7 2025, 09:07 AM) so many budget chinese brands don't have whatever pitching electronic noise. almost all budget to mid level hifi is made in china. your client got ears or not? because the pitching noise is like trump. everytime they see any speaker made in china, they will come and tariff them. No need fact, just refer country of origin.

QUOTE(MR_alien @ May 7 2025, 08:29 AM) the lenovo earbuds i bought also the same thing use like few times, it won't work anymore contacted their page, they just refund me fully without asking any question, without even requiring me to send it back thn went to other brands like edifier, QCY....quality better, sound wise it's passable but it won't beat my superlux or sony headphones...those headphones are on another different level I have an xm3 earpong and it's actually really good anc also good. But sadly it's battery got issue already one side always die early. But imo, it's quite bassy...I prefer something more neutral

QUOTE(netflix2019 @ May 7 2025, 08:57 AM) Had a client who is electrical engineer worked in Japan for few years. According to him china electronics somehow will always have the electronic pitching sound. Only Japan and US can make it without sound. Thats why audiophile stuff expensive because of those parts making it high cost. The sound gone already...and never encountered it since. Not even on the new one

QUOTE(mac_mac21 @ May 7 2025, 10:42 AM) What brand bookshelf speaker recommended? I know got many but i think you know better I tried Edifier S3000 Pro before and it is worth the money if bought at 2K during promotion and better than most generic brands (Samsung, Sony, Philips etc) at a similar price, plenty of reviewers praise it as well. I have switched to Hivi H8 (a different color version of M5A) that I bought through TaoBao which cost me RM 4K all in. A leap upgrade from S3000 Pro and personally I think it is better than my father-in-law's Bowers & Wilkins 607 S2 that I hear often.

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ May 7 2025, 07:32 AM) https://www.avsforum.com/threads/harman-buy...dustry.3324912/Masimo has announced that it's selling its Sound United division to HARMAN International for $350 million. The deal, still subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close by the end of 2025. For anyone unfamiliar, Sound United is the umbrella that holds several well-known audio brands, including Denon, Marantz, and Bowers & Wilkins. HARMAN, a subsidiary of Samsung and already owns brands like JBL, AKG, Harman Kardon, and Mark Levinson. inb4 Samsung > all wtf do they need so many sound brands?
