In the late '90s many pinoy maids lepak at furama and other nearby hotels for what is known as tea parties IRRC. Their patrons were mainly middle-aged Indian men and some ah peks thrown into the mix. It was a place for them to meet these men and become mistresses. I was in uni at that time and have attended these with a close friend. As someone who is currently married with Pinoy, here are my takes:

Pinoy will take anyone that have money, can bring them out from their country and provide them (including pinoy family) with stable income. They dont care if u are bharat or utara or selatan.
