I think many new cars don't have autolock. Older models have it then they stop in newer models. Apparently if it loses power after a crash, the doors can't be opened by emergency responders.

see, this is why seatbelt is so important.
there is no guarantee that the door will kept close all the time.

some cars, centralized lock, is just to lock all. but each door can unlock itself when need be.
meaning, if already centralized lock, but passenger want to go out, they can just unlock their side and go.

child lock? cannot, but i dont think child lock is on here.

also, who knows if the car is locked at all.

It's not just to avoid you being flung out. It will save you from being flung forward and kill yourself or killing the front passenger/driver.
