At the same time I was given ove 70 pieces of laser disc. Mostly 60s to 90s movies. About 20 still vacuum sealed. Sticker price is 300 bucks.
Now need to buy new IKEA racks to housed them. Vinyl about 50 pieces are quite heavy. |

Never liked cassettes. I’m all for new tech. Streaming like crazy nowadays even though my CD & record collection runs into thousands. I’m just curious to see what’s next after streaming.

Subscription is nonsense. 😂
Is like u own it while u don't if the $$$ stop. But then now the ppl want it fast, easy. Maybe different mindset kua. But it also means u need to have more $$$ to maintain lifestyle. |

My The Sound of Music from the 60s sounded so much warmer and lively when compared to the BD or CD version. But at last, need to claim the record and pickup every now and then. |

If you're not a vynil person actually can download true vynil recordings online usually in the form of ".wav" or ".flac" format if I recall correctly .They are very big in size about 40MB to 100MB per song.Vinyl no hissing at any volume. Only crackles and pops especially if the record or pickup is dirty. My The Sound of Music from the 60s sounded so much warmer and lively when compared to the BD or CD version. But at last, need to claim the record and pickup every now and then. Not too sure if you still can find them but many years ago they were quite easy to find. The difference is very noticeable compared to the normal MP3 standards of the day. |

Things like this only being appreciated in Western countries.
Asian countries never appreciate arts or entertainent. You see how many shop that sells cd, vinyl nowadays? The only mainstream shop that I see that still sell CD is Popular bookstore. People like us are too obsessed with everything that is FAST AND EASY. In the end, they own NOTHING and they proud with it. Keep subscribing to low quality contents on netflix or subscribe music streaming platforms where u can't own the music and the musician can pull out their service anytime they want.
