The trend of reducing population is quite common and obvious around the world. Pretty rapid in asian countries, particularly those which had rapid growth in the past ie Japan Korea and China. Western countries depopz much slower maybe coz they crazy.
Now u see, Malaysia isn't as bad more lax but nons pops are also reducing. All except Muslims, although there's a trend but it's very slow. I think most population if they are Muslims, confirm won't reduce population.
You wrong statically, malay population are going down too except for Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang. The value of birth rate to maintain the population is 2.1

ayam in the same spot, other than hoping for better career progression. dont plan to marry, have kids, buy house etc. no point anyway. nowadays just do whatever makes me happy which is travel. i only save a little, the rest just splurge. im just lucky that i dont have debt.

Buddhist monks dont waste away their life like this.
Worldly materials are impermanent yet necessary to live effectively in this world. Thats a very big difference in “giving up” worldly matters. Different mentality.
Expanding Buddhism is a “career” itself.
Not married, no kids yet many monks bring up abandoned orphans.
Buddhist monks are many times more productive than “wasting life” away because of the concept of “precious human life”

Lay flat or low desire new gen still participate in real world economy that provide actual goods/services needed by society to survive. On the contrary, how are monks being more productive if they are not even part of any supply chain that keep the world alive?

no, accually western countries depop as much as other countries, thats why you see their immigration rules are getting lax in letting migrants in cover the losses
