Hi, I went to Optimax for an eye checkup and was informed that I have cataracts. Would love some recommendations on where or which ophthalmologist is best to do cataract surgery in Penang. Optimax itself? Vista? ISEC Penang? Others? (Island / Gleneagles / LWE / LGL / Adventist?) Also how much did it cost for one eye? I am trying to compare the cost also before deciding as Optimax Penang quoted me a price range starting from RM5k+ per eye for monofocal lens to RM10k+ per eye for multifocal lens. What lens did you choose and any side effects / discomfort / issues with the lens you chose? Feel free to share your experience!

My dad kena, private one at first check both but wan do 1 side only. Because second side got some complications so they dont wan to do. Give GH do.

They say that has less complication. Surgery also have to depend on luck. Complications do sometimes unfortunately occur with the most reputable hospital/Dr.
