Drove within safe speed limit and distance.
My car lights are on so I'm visible
Sudden torrent of rain and a patch of water caused skidding

Front Tyres are Goodyear ATM while rears are Dunlops, both relatively new (less than 2 years) & threads are thick. Only drive less than 15k per year

Car no ESC nor ABS as well as being FWD, all use defensive driving techniques learn at Aus tried turning before nearing the van, no mas. ie dun slam on the fukkin brakes, feather brakes and throttle together-gether

No audio to Cam cos..... It was cheapo no brand one. Had to physically take out the MSD card to transfer

Heavy rain yet sticking to the right most lane is a recipe for disaster. Lots of ponding and potential waterfalls caused by opposite traffic.

Worst if lorries stays in the mid lane

heavy rain drive so fast/... F1 or PS4 also will not save you as the wider the tire it will be more prone to aqua planning
thin tires size below 205 usually no PS4

time to change all 4 to this (MXG is legit successor to ATM/TM2)
https://www.goodyear.com.my/tyres/goodyear-...urance-maxguard

since your car quite old just avoid driving too fast or even driving on fast lane especially in wet weather
*
Thanks!

Took ATM since it was the latest one and 'said' to be 'good' in the wet... Well brochures said it. We don't have independent tyre testing here locally

Flip if you steer wrongly.
Aqua, release all foot pedal, hands hold firm.

You replied 80-90 km/h, true not fast.
Check your so claimed 2yo tyres (the print on tyres, maybe 3), harden? Thread direction (water drainage).

So genius install in/outside terbalik

Lol, Nahh 2 years is the age as well

QUOTE(Virlution @ May 1 2025, 11:08 AM)

Satay bush absorber mounting dog bone all change? Even multi link bush and power steering bushes and tie rod end stabilizer link bushes ball joint?
*
Yup...
All change ady last year those dog bone 2 long 2 shorts are all ori proton

Multi link/ stabilizer were torn so were replaced as well on both sides
Ball joint still tight
Power steering bushes well know to be loose but still good (ori dun last) / tie rod still tight too

Rear bearings replaced in both side early this year, one side started a very very minute hum, didn't want to take chances so replaced both

QUOTE(Balanced @ May 1 2025, 12:12 PM)
Tires also play a big role. Those good tires big proper big water grooves will have better performance on wet road. U take those cheap economy tires for jimat fuel, the grooves are very small and not design to disperse water well because its more design for longevity of the tire and fuel economy.

Ts, dunlop brand usually low end one. Can tell me exactly wat tires u using now, i recommend 1 level up for u.

Dunlop D05
Goodyear ATM2

Below says maxguard oso shiat

I already mentioned so many times here, get the best tyre you can afford if possible. Dont stinge on tyres. And dont listen to idiots who say 'buy cheap one and change more often is safer'. Call them go f themselves.

Tyres are the only thing get in contact with the road when you are speeding. Not familiar with 15in and below tyres, but i believe michelin xm2 or conti uc6/7 should have size for 15in. These 2 are far better than the 2 junks u using.
*
Xm2 used before, skidded at low speed on Toyota camry before
QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ May 1 2025, 01:46 PM)
gy atm isn't very bad, just that the thread longkang not deep enough even it's new compared to other brands.

if want affordable 15" then can try look for toyo tr1.

no abs is like that 1 la... it's hard to control the braking force when u desperately want to stop the car completely in rain.

Yup....

Dont think ur fast, speed looks reasonable...

U also have braked earlier, maintain a safe distance between cars....

Right lane is dangerous during heavy rain...Even if my tyres are in super good shape, I will stay away from the right lane...alot of crazi drivers on that lane one...they think they are driving fast and furious...hahahaha

Say ady.... Drive selow2

Yeah just P Zero

QUOTE(Omgf @ May 1 2025, 04:00 PM)
TS, my case same like you.
But my case was driving >80km/h during heavy rain in middle lane.
Then suddenly lost control but the car head stirred very right, then same action as yours, turn the sterring left and right left and right.
But still bang into divider and thank god, no massive accident.
Just the front rim heavily scratched as it banged the divider.

Cukurr

QUOTE(sansaboy @ May 1 2025, 04:36 PM)
And ts keep on emphasize defending he is within speed limit.

If you really understand what is defensive driving, you will know that the speed limit is just the guidelines,it's not the bible

And speed is relative in physics.
For your condition, this speed is fast , for other might be safe
So now you will ask, how to judge what speed is deem as fast for you?

If the speed you are cruising now,is not able to let you handle situation like example In your very own video,
Then you can conclude that :

This speed ,in this situation,is considered FAST to you.
Because you hardly can handle it

Hope you understand the logic behind this
Hope you have a wonderful holiday
*
Dude. Speed limit is 110
80 is much much lower than 110 unless I can't count?
You drive 50 on the highway during rain? Even the busses and lorries drives faster than that on left lsne
