I already mentioned so many times here, get the best tyre you can afford if possible. Dont stinge on tyres. And dont listen to idiots who say 'buy cheap one and change more often is safer'. Call them go f themselves.

Tyres are the only thing get in contact with the road when you are speeding. Not familiar with 15in and below tyres, but i believe michelin xm2 or conti uc6/7 should have size for 15in. These 2 are far better than the 2 junks u using.

xm2 +uc6 very poor wet grip pls avoid

Gen2 still dare to drive so fast on highway during rain? Me 50-60 max saja bila rain. Normal day drive 110 tyre sudah light shaking left right feeling.

In term of 15in, thats the best. U dont expect performance tyres like ps5 to be at 15in.

Same feedback for Continental UC6. Just junk at wet traction. Only local YouTuber praise this junk model, their weakness of all SEA model are wet traction. Buddies of mine take MC6 last time, told similar performance as PS4, but just only dry had similarities but wet it just dont have a grip.

Ts, i faced this similar losing grip on wet when the brand new car is equipped with Continental UC6, change to Toyo CR1, marginally better for wet. No doubt Michelin model are better for wet, if got budget take that

Not many shops selling this already, at least in my area. And this is 2 gen older tyres, meaning at least 10 years old tech. Not sure if the compound/rubber is as good as those new tech tyres.

Besides ps3, any other recommendation?

What is feather break and throttle mean? Just quick turn steering wheel left and right until can regain balance?

Anyway, very lucky.

Driving 110kmh even though its within the speed limit is not safe during heavy rain.

Slow down to 80-90kmh for safety regardless of traction control or not.

Drove within safe speed limit and distance.
My car lights are on so I'm visible
Sudden torrent of rain and a patch of water caused skidding

Front Tyres are Goodyear ATM while rears are Dunlops, both relatively new (less than 2 years) & threads are thick. Only drive less than 15k per year
Car no ESC nor ABS as well as being FWD, all use defensive driving techniques learn at Aus tried turning before nearing the van, no mas. ie dun slam on the fukkin brakes, feather brakes and throttle together-gether
No audio to Cam cos..... It was cheapo no brand one. Had to physically take out the MSD card to transfer
*
if hydro plane dont apply brake too much it will lock the tyre
just ease the pedal and try to regain control

If you're skidding just from braking like that, you're not driving within safe speed

Unless you consider skidding safe behaviour

Dafug did I just read?

Saw car braking, oneself braked, ownself almost skidded. And blame it on suddenly raining padahal it was already that wet.
*
If raining was the issue, all the cars in the video will be skidding. Yet only TS was skidding. And kena praise nice control doh.gif

I've driven faster in heavier rain (young + bodo time) but never skidded like that ever

is ok after we familiarize. i skid crash once in dry. ciplak tyre burst. no bodywork damage.
skid two times during rain. end up tyre fell into drain. no bodywork damage.
at roundabout. causing bent torsion beam. also no bodywork damage.
