I just read about this site, http://www.freerice.com in a chinese newspaper.

All you have to do is play the vocabulary game, and for each correct answer, they will donate 10 grains of rice through United Nation to help end world hunger. Sounds too good to be true, right?

Imagine you can improve your vocabulary and at the same time help people who is starving, don't you think that this is great?

For me, I feel sad and can't stand seeing ppl starving sad.gif Only with enough food, people will have enough energy to work.

So please visit the site, play the game, bookmark it, add it into your favorites site. Your little act of kindness will help a lot. smile.gif

I have included the FAQ and "Where the rice goes" in my first post.

Since 28 Nov, they will donate 20 grains of rice for each correct answer! smile.gif

Last time it tooks me long time to reach 1000 grains, but now I can easily get it.

Added on January 3, 2009, 5:45 pm1 December 2008 - Somalia: WFP continues operation despite security risks

Woman and children at a feeding centre in El Berde, in the Bakool region of southern Somalia, which is supported by WFP.

One in four children in this part of Somalia is acutely malnourished, way over the emergency threshold. Some 3.1 million people across the country are now in need of food assistance.

Timira Hulbale, mother of one and half year-old Abdi Daqane, at the screening centre. She walked from Lawareg, a village seven kilometers from El Berde. She told us, “My son has been vomiting and has diarrhea – he has been malnourished since he was born but we have no medicine to give him to help him get better. I came here because he is sick and also to get food. I came from far away – and we have no water.”

Here is the link: http://www.freerice.com/banners.html

Follow the method in the page, with slight modification of the code. For example:

Some banner size is very big, please check the "signature and avatar" rules here -> http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=faq&article=7

Let us spread the awareness to everyone we know and help feeds the hungry. rclxms.gif
