I surprise people don't realize this:-

houses, food, education, services all the necessities all increase a lot. People of the past has higher purchasing power for these products.

"Products" such as cars, computer, electrical appliances, phone are actually cheaper than the past.

House yes. Food and services maybe, I argue that it has increased but not to the scale of other global prices. Say watching a movie for example, it's still cheap in Malaysia compared to China or Singapore or even Bangkok.

it is always relative to salary not global prices.

I remember chicken rice being RM1.80 in the early 90s. The same shop(obviously different owner) now in my housing area, cost like rm11 now.

about 600% increase.

They have less commitment in housing , insurance, children education.

In the past my parents used to say how lucky the current generation is.

I told them my monthly expenses for children daycare, bus fare, education etc can buy 6 terrace houses in PJ in the early 90s.
My yearly insurance payment is equivalent to a yearly 1 PJ house loan installment in the early 90s.

They never dared to complain after that.
