Normally when stock market plummet, US treasury bond market up as it’s traditionally safe haven against risk. But recently both stock and bond market also plummeted becoz Trump started a dumb unplanned tariff war against whole world. The fact that US national debts increased 300% in last 20 years is clear sign of bubble forming.

US uses carriers as primarily power projection role
China uses carriers as primarily area denial and coastal defense role

both are very different use cases.

Air carrier still useful as floating navy bases to jump start or connect the attacking point against those countries that don't have long range missile.

If against those big & strong force, any nearer to those countries shores is asking for trouble jer. Imagine those China drone in hundreds flying low near sea level equipped with high explosive bomb under night sky if they within range

I think China need to build it cos they also want show of power plus they don't have like US bases all over the world.
