I think it’s either: 1) the importers got some assurance from Trump that their tariff will go down upon goods arrival; or 2) the importers are playing chicken game with Trump. If by the time shelves empty and goods stuck at port due to exorbitant tariff, massive protest or even riot may happen, Trump may be toppled. issac99289928 liked this post
