QUOTE(Knnbuccb @ Apr 27 2025, 05:54 PM) how to no issue from GPTif youre a local seller trying to sell stuff they will whack you with low prices , profit few sen also can, they can tahan because their workers willing to do 996 etc while youre stuck with workers who MC everyday etc but want all the benefits. QUOTE Yes, China has faced complaints and scrutiny at the World Trade Organization (WTO) and other international bodies for labor practices and employment-related issues. These complaints often center around allegations of unfair practices that violate global labor standards or give Chinese industries an unfair competitive edge in the global market. Key areas of concern include: 1. Forced Labor Allegations: • Xinjiang Issue: There have been widespread allegations of forced labor involving Uyghur and other ethnic minority populations in Xinjiang. Products like cotton, textiles, and solar panels have faced international scrutiny, with several countries banning imports suspected of being linked to forced labor. • WTO members have raised concerns that such practices violate international labor conventions and create unfair advantages by artificially lowering production costs. 2. Workers’ Rights and Conditions: • Low Wages and Poor Working Conditions: China’s rapid industrialization has often been linked to exploitative labor practices, such as long working hours, insufficient safety measures, and low wages. This has led to criticism from labor groups and trade partners. • Limited Union Representation: The All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) is the only legally recognized labor union in China, which many argue does not effectively represent workers’ rights and interests, contributing to systemic labor issues. 3. Impact on Global Trade: • Unfair Competition: Countries argue that China’s labor practices distort global markets. By keeping production costs artificially low through lax enforcement of labor protections or exploitative practices, Chinese companies gain a pricing advantage that undercuts foreign competitors. • Trade Barriers: Other WTO members have lodged complaints about subsidies and state intervention that further exacerbate the imbalance created by labor practices. 4. Responses from the WTO and Other Nations: • WTO Mechanisms: Members have brought disputes to the WTO, but the organization’s enforcement mechanisms are often slow and rely on consensus, limiting immediate action. • Unilateral Actions: Countries like the U.S. and EU have imposed sanctions, import bans, or tariffs targeting products linked to forced labor or exploitative practices. • Corporate Responses: Many multinational corporations have pledged to avoid supply chains linked to forced or exploitative labor, facing pressure from consumers and human rights organizations. 5. China’s Defense: • Economic Development Argument: China often frames its labor policies as necessary for economic development and poverty alleviation. • Denial of Forced Labor: The Chinese government has consistently denied allegations of forced labor, labeling them as politically motivated. Moving Forward: To address these issues, China may need to: • Improve Transparency: Open its labor practices to independent monitoring and verification. • Enhance Worker Protections: Strengthen labor laws and enforcement mechanisms to ensure compliance with international standards. • Engage with the WTO: Actively work to resolve disputes and address concerns to maintain its reputation and avoid further sanctions or trade barriers. These issues remain a significant challenge for China’s international trade relations and its broader global standing. inb4 darkterror "you no work 15 hours a day you don't consider yourself competitive" |

ppl see it 1 sided only
if they come here, they will have to take flight/transport, accommodation/renting, food/entertainment etc. they screw your photography industry, but u can change your job to sell them food, rent them room etc. and with all those expenses that they need to spend, they still can provide a cheaper or even maybe better service than u, then your service memang should get closed down. and ppl say dont blame globalization? fk those mnc coming your country to build factories here, their own country ppl losing job what, why u no pity their countrymen losing job? why u no chase away mnc back to their own country to hire their own ppl? Basically Chinese socmed found out their local pad brands all poor quality, either size not as big or shine phone light also can see through and the material quality like yellow yellow. Then they did what they normally did, wallop all overseas stock from HK Malaysia Japan Aus NZ to ship back and sell for profit. Like mask during Covid and milk powder. |
