 Resigning staff don't want to finish work, any recourse in this situation?

My last resignation, back in 2020, I have almost 1.5 months of accumulated leave lol.

I did the handover before I went on to my holiday, pop back to the company slack to say goodbye đź‘‹

Sounds like retaliation. JTK loves this scenario.

Anyway its just another week. As manager, one should already be managing and reassigning his tasks. Properly planned handover will only leave very minimal work for the staff on the last week and on the last day it is just a formality with all his company system accesses revoked.

If still insists on the staff to work on tasks up until the last hour of his last day, it speaks volumes of the manager, and the treatment that the resigning staff has been subjected to.

Always remember - majority of people leave a job not because of the job or company, they leave a toxic manager and the toxic environment they created.

Previous place my immediate superior have weekly handover sessions right away already. Previous previous place chinaman hire 3 people half a year before I got the boot

Relax, I.am.not going to crucify u. There are some asshole bosses & it can be very stressful working in toxic company. Personally, I won't sabotage the work partly due to professionalism pride & I lucky i get along with my colleagues so don't want to put them.in a spot.

I can understand the temptation especially since not going to work in the industry anymore. My old job what I did instead was on my last day especially when going through my pay see still got deduct for come in late to work a bout 5 minutes.

I purposely rant.out.loud so that the big boss can.hear me.complanning bitterly about how the company so bloody kira despite working for them for 8 years & I always do my job.

The bugger was glaring at.me but dare not.confront because he knows that if he get into a verbal sparring . He will get in more trouble with hq & his rivals due to.office.politics. His term as gm in Malaysia was almost up & he didn't want to be sent home otherwise no.more benefits perks.

The 2 years before I quit was hell not just for.me but other long time employees as well as sikit sikit cari fault trying to get us to quit o our own since we are doing our job so can't fire us.

Why didn't u quit earlier then? Obviously your boss was quit firing all of you.

Pay is good & got bonus, the big boss first 3 years was ok never purposely cari pasal. Still can tahan at first until near the end had enough I just said to.myself screw it.

His predessor when term almost up more or less act the same so.know it's not.just him. work environment is good & get along with colleagues which to me is more important & no guarantee new place won't be toxic.

This thread remind unker of audit days as junior a2 staff and resign. 1 week before this s2 last minute change his working paper initial to mine and msg me why working paper not done ask me chase for supporting and finish before go. Unker politely ask him fly kite.

One time client place in new development area. When it rain and the whole place flooded halfway up to knee level. Unker was in car waiting. This same hamkachan ask unker take off socks and shoes fold up pants and walk thru the water.

If you love losing money and time then go for it. Labor Law protects the workers from scumbags like this.
