The devil is in the details. For Putin to give up some demands, he probably got some concessions.

In this case, its the concession that US will recognise crimea as part of Russia.

What is important to understand is that for both sides, all these are just words and paper only. Can delete at any time.

However, as long as it is in both sides interest to stop fighting, fighting will stop. Even Ukraine will benefit from war stopping.

The calculus changed due entirely to Trump. He changed US stance to US interest for fighting to stop. That is the main change and why I think there will be an eventual peace deal.

It wont happen... UE and UK needs its war to justify their financial collapse and blame on the war instead.
