1. "Burn" iso file as bootable to usb
2. Set BIOS to boot in legacy mode

no, please do not use Legacy mode

go to MS Site on another PC

https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows11

Download the "Media Creation Tool"

let it download and install the installer to your USB Drive (will wipe all data) [also confirm your USB Drive is not a fake capacity drive]

then boot it

Ok i did that
Using another laptop download media creation tool.exe and make it install bootable from it. Not using rufus
And now plug the pendrive in pc
And it works . Now it goes to windows 11 installer and not bios anymore
But then got another issue
After choosing languange and which windows (i just choose w11 home)
And it says my pc not support
But i check windows product page amd ryzen 5 5600 support w11
Should i try windows 10?

Hmm should work...

maybe try
go back to bios, turn off CSM
and ensure TPM 2.0 is turned on
and maybe also check that Secure Boot is on

could also try updating BIOS

Try check the following in the BIOS/UEFI :-

1. Ensure TPM 2.0 (or later) is ON.
2. Ensure HDD is in AHCI (recommended) or RAID mode.
3. Ensure the Secure Boot is ON.
4. Ensure the CSM is OFF.

Hope this helps... cool2.gif

2. Set BIOS to boot in legacy mode
Please avoid using LEGACY mode unless absolutely necessary. In the case of the threadstarter, there's no need to resort to it.

Don’t even touch Legacy mode unless you’re building a PC from 2009 or something 😅.
You’re already 99% there, double-check in BIOS: CSM off, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on.
Ryzen 5 5600 fully supports Win11, no need to downgrade to Win10 unless you wanna create problems for no reason lol.
Worst case, flash the latest BIOS update, it’s usually a one-click thing nowadays.

you does not need to enter into BIOS to change the boot orders. Just press F11 during PC booting up. It will prompt out a boot drive menu for you to select the drive for which you want to boot from.

you does not need to format to fat32(just stay with ntfs), just use rufus to write the whole ISO image into your USB drive.

You can get the latest Windows 11 24h2 (with windows updates) from here

*reminder*, this is Windows 11 24H2, not Windows XP. The installation methods are totally different nowadays. Please don't use the Windows XP method to boot install Windows 11 to your PC.

Sorry for the late update
What wrong with win10?

Im not sure why installing win11 is more complex
But win10 works fine so far. Should i upgrade to w11?

You don't need to do anything to format the usb drive. Just use the windows media creator.
