TM need double check with their vendor, also same answer kwss and AI per RFC, PPPoE AC should never terminate one missed LCP

Did you manage to find out which vendor is that BNG?
The problem can simply be solved by either:
1. Waiting for 3 echo timeout before sending the termination request. Since one or two broken timeslot won't led to termination.
2. Fix the latent bug where the BNG send the wrong request during the time slot. This kind of bug sounds like race condition in those super old C code. The system behave differently with different load. In your case, I suspect HQoS in your profile play a role.
If you QoS on your side and didn't trigger the shaper / policer on the BNG, then it won't mix up the time slot.

Actually it's just software, can request your TM friend to just upgrade it? Still have support contract right?

The VRRP problem fixed itself... Interesting.

It's Juniper Network handle the PPPoE here,
if that case, increase waiting echo to 5 times should be suficient, just in case everyone upload in same PON cause LCP packet loss

I try use HG8240H5 ONU, limiting my self to synmetrical 1Gbps (1GbE)
it still happening when I fully saturate the 1GbE port, cause LCP did not reach either way

This one I feel like you're better off going to another Unifi Store.
If contract over can just mention Astro agent offered 500Mbps for RM90. Otherwise like myself still in ~5 months contract, just asked them about the promo and they just gave me.
Maybe you can also say you heard online about promo for existing unifi customer. Then just tell her RM90 for 500Mbps and Disney+ Hotstar.
Since there's no contract, you can just cancel anyways. You can message them via live chat first.
I told her that I want to cancel, CS at Unifi store said no contract I can cancel anytime.
CS on live chat said a few times that the discount for unifi fibre is permanent, and terminating the unifi mobile line would NOT affect unifi fibre pricing.

Thanks for the guide. I just did the upgrade for mine at Taipan USJ branch. But there wasn’t any mention of disney hotstar and unifi mobile.

If it is SWU 5.0, it comes with Disney Hotstar, it is even mentioned on the plan name. laugh.gif

If contact over in October 2025 can start asking for swu promo?

My bill now 149 for 500mbps

Can I take lower value like 300mbps or 100mbps for promo?

Just went to TMPoint Cyberjaya this morning with 3.5 months contract left.

Told the lady I wanna upgrade package for SWU unifi 500Mbps RM90. No questions asked. The lady is so kind that she introduce available options and asked me which offer I want.

The only downside is I had to bundle unifi mobile SIM card RM39 for 2 months, no contract for the SIM card, can terminate after 2 months.

Overall it's still ok for me cause after all the maths, I still save around RM 20+ consider after my contract ends.

The end.

You can try but no guarantee, if over contract probably easier to negotiate. However, one success case here, it is an upgrade though as mentioned here but not sure from which plan to which plan.

I look up the BNG mac address c4:69:f0:69:da:c6.
It's actually Huawei. If it's Juniper then you should have no problem doing MTU 1500.

If you can find someone to reconfigure the timeout then that should mitigate the problem.

MAC prefix registered on 17 September 2020. So yours is not leftover junk from streamyx era.

So, it wasn't really an upgrade as it is the same 500Mbps, just change plan from SWU 3.0 to 5.0. tongue.gif

DFS channel 124 solved my problem, and somehow this router managed to get 521Mbps which was the speed I used to get with my old plan, somehow new plan with old router capped with 490Mbps, this new router dunno what it did but it somehow managed to get back my old 500Mbps despite using the new plan now

It took almost 10minutes for the 5GHz signal to appear after I set it to channel 124. Hopefully there's no radar interference since I'm about 12km displacement away from Subang weather station

Yes, all I need is public IP, my general usage around 300Mbps is sufficient and the most important is cheap wink.gif

RM90 500Mbps basic broadband + Free 1 year Disney Hotstar. That's it. No free call STD20.

that's odd, he told me was F0:1C:2D:22:87:C3
he lied to me?

EDIT:
I believe kwss, it make sense for MTU issue when PPPoE over VRRP and VXLAN.
I gonna make report to MCMC that TM staff lied to me and don't want to solve

If you calculate cost for 2 years, SWU 3.0 is actually cheaper.

RM119 for 300mbps, 6 months free, upgrade to 500mbps for free. RM126.15 X 18 months = RM2270.70 < Cost for 2 years incl 6% sst

RM90 for 500mbps . RM95.4 X 24 months = Rm2289.60 < Cost for 2 years incl 6% sst.

Provided that you don't really need Hotstar

To be honest, I don't know all these SWU things as previously I was on Turbo Plan 2018, paying 129 for 500Mbps for 7 years and never on SWU until now. laugh.gif It was just that jacktiew mentioned he was paying RM 119 for 500Mbps and now RM 90 for 500Mbps.
