Ofcourse it's a shit deal if just taking 100Mbps for rm89. after all, I was paying rm89 for 500Mbps prior. Aside frm having 500Mbps at a condo i barely stay, which makes no sense, what made the 100Mbps deal attractive is that the TVs that came with it, which I took.
You can calculate, I give u that much credit, only that much. Look up again on my post and recalculate again. See if it tallies with my calculation

Not sure how much the tv cost

Swu RM79 free 6 months 2y contract
Basically RM360(RM10*36)+RM474(free RM79*6) + RM540(RM15 *36) cheaper but with zero TV and maybe no free voice quota

Speed is secondary.

Private IP vs public IP makes the key difference.

Public IP make no sense for most user, and we have IPv6 now, and service like Wireguard make it so easy for casual user.

Unfortunately, Wireguard is among the many affected services by CGNAT. You will need to switch over to Tailscale instead. Good luck.

I am on 100mbps and looking to upgrade to 300mbps for public IP.
CS told me 300mbps "normally" public IP, if not need to submit CCTV setup pic to request.

Anyone on 300mbps can confirm the default is private or public IP? dry.gif

Less than 300mbps is private IP.

Public IP for 500mbps and above.

300mbps can try request public ip provided you have proof of hosting something like server, cctv etc...

Or else go for maxis fibre doesn't matter which speed you can add on RM10 for public IP.

I signed SWU 5.0 for 100Mbps, with requirement to subscribe unifi mobile for 3 months.

Now it's already 3 months, can I just straight port out my mobile, or I need to do anything to inform unifi?

Hi

I just switched to the SWU 5.0 RM90 for 500 Mbps deal. I didn't realise there was a free WiFi 6 router with that but Unifi called up to say that there was. The brands available are TP Link and Fibre Home. Which of these are better?

Also, my last deal came with mesh Fibre Home routers but I got them to set them up and stored them away as I have been using my old Asus 86 AC router.

I will just ask them to set this new one up and unplug it to keep as a backup.

What details or settings do I need to ask for from the technician when he comes?

Thanks

I would take TP-Link.

Just the usual WAN, IPTV and Wi-Fi setup.

Just cancelled my unifi today after more than 10 years. Currently on their 300mbps package. This is such a stupid company that doesn't reward loyal customers, instead we have to waste our time do this stupid cancel BS and hope they offer SWU. If their retention team calls me I'll probably accept, if not I'll just move to maxis 100mbps.
