It's quite a Russian roulette how long an IP block will behave consistently. Whenever the BGP optimization software perform a new optimization, what prefix gets advertised where, who gets prepending, etc are kinda random.

TM also have rate limiting for PPPoE reconnection attempt. Keep that in mind as you might just DoS yourself offline.

If your area just got IP renumbered, then prefix could be fixed, especially if you're from rural area. If this is the case changing telco is the only choice.

The current Unifi account is under my mom, I've been considering going to Maxis, will keep in mind

For rate limiting, I only do it every now and again, I think it should be okay, I'm targeting 180.72 if possible as iirc that's the best range for my area, but TM has been randomly assigning ranges I have never seen before, just gotta test it until I get something good. vmad.gif

Instead of remembering which IP block is good or bad, which is not set in stone, use the following looking glass:
HE / TATA
Equinix
Singtel

For the IP block you received, look it up in Equinix first and see where TM load balance you. Unless you are in super VVIP block like 1.9.0.0/16, you mostly go to HE or TATA.

Then use HE or TATA looking glass and see your BGP next hop. Look up IP and that's your load balance point of entry.

If you get Singapore, then 🎉 and stick to this IP.

Since you communicate with someone on Singtel, do the same with Singtel. Since TM has PNI with Singtel, if you see just 4788 in AS_PATH then 🎉

If you get 2 🎉🎉. You should be set for most cases.

For PPPoE retries, I believe it's 5 attempts per minute. I might be wrong as it seems non standard. Some BNG have broken limiter and you can literally retry as fast as you want.

Raised online termination at 15 Oct, ticket created in the system at 16 Oct.
TM called in at 23 Oct and asked bout the reason of termination then told them have offer from Astro for 500mbps rm90.
The TM staff will tell you that Astro one is not permanent, but Unifi can offer the same package permanently.
Then just accept the offer, and they will start to read the TnC and then just tell them setuju then everything settled.

Exactly what I did. Submit a request for termination, and they'll ask you why you're cancelling your sub, then just tell them the reason and they'll help you out in a jiffy. Best thing is, my contract ended just two days ago and I min-maxed the heck out of my sub, hahaha. Rm90 for two more years for essentially what I'm having right now is a no brainer. For the masses, unifi is enough.
