Mazda has released yet another production car that looks identical to its concept car (Arata), the last time it was the Mazda3 (based on the Kai concept).

For those who can understand Chinese, good for you but those who couldn't then just look at the image.

Looks like both China/Japan will be the first two (2) countries it will be launched at.

what to do, unless you are living in some states in the US - front license plates are mandatory.

they are in fact the best in the market currently. Just take a look at what BYD in China is doing, the German/Europeans couldn't even come close and even so, they'd want the price of your kidney for it because they called it "technological breakthrough" :kek:

iinm, should be stupid Tesla and then after that, Volvo thereafter, the demands are fueled by aging old man who thinks adopting large screens will make them look cool/young.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this a Deepal S07 underneath or shares most components with the S07?

i think same chassis and some parts sharing - materials used/design wise are all by Mazda. they did the same with the EZ-6.

i think Mazda's war chest empty already, spending all their monies on the CX-*0 series and the development of their new inline 6 + gearbox. if you follow, i think they are going to spend whatever little that is left on the development of their new Skyactiv-Z engine.

let's hope Mazda's engineers don't drive their company to the ground.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I think the car looks good and I hope this bodes well for Mazda but their current model lineup and pricing in Malaysia is seriously wack. Being out-competed by their Chinese counterparts in price, features and styling.

CX-*0 series is weird

More expensive and rumored to be potentially coming close to continental in pricing exceeding the Harrier

But still i hope they're working on the new RX kek.

Actually, no car companies here in Malaysia is safe from the influx of generic China makes, the latter is just too hard to beat whether it's specification/pricing, especially pricing. At the end of the day, it's up to the customers/consumers to see what they want. Do they want exclusivity or bang for their buck.

Greed aside, this is why MAGA is so adamant in putting crazy tariffs on China imports. Can you imagine if Geely didn't market their cars under Proton, where would Proton be now?

Then again, i'm not too worried about Mazda being "out-competed" in terms of design by China makes that are currently being sold here in Malaysia because they all look just too damn similar to each other (eg: Leapmotor, Zeekr etc). Besides, China makes are getting pricier as we speak, the fact that it is still "cheap" because we are still getting the "old stuffs".

Take a look at the Denza D9, that's a relatively "new" car and it starts from RM250,000.00 and caps at around RM300,000.00.

the CX-*0 will not sell here in Malaysia and if they do, they'll be as rare as unicorns because only big bosses will buy them (probably as pasar car). Malaysians generally don't like big-ass SUVs (case in point, CX-9), they'd rather get a MPV (Vellfire/Alphard) for that matter as it has better utility.

Deepal - it's a brand owned by Changan and in China, all Mazdas are manufactured by Changan through a joint-venture company called Changan-Mazda (长安马自达).
