China doesn’t have Air Force one. China previous leader Jiang had ordered an Air Force one style from Boeing and China later found the plane full of bugs. That plane finally ended up as a commercial flight. What China does is to rent a plane from Air China 2 months before the international visit and do all the renovation inside the plane for the visit. After it is done, the plane will be returned to Air China for normal commercial flight. Since US don’t know which one will be rented, US can’t install bugs.

China leaders rarely travel outside China and having an Air Force One is waste of $$$.

The C919 was supposed to be more than just a plane—it’s a symbol of China stepping up as a global tech power, challenging Boeing and Airbus. So when the top leader opts for a Western jet instead, it does feel like a missed chance to stand tall and say, “We believe in our own wings.”

It’s like telling the world, "We’re ready," but then quietly stepping back when it’s time to prove it.

i think better to take leave than go to work tomorrow

With all the road closures and potential traffic jams, especially around KLIA and Putrajaya, it might be more stress than it’s worth trying to commute. Better to stay home, avoid the hassle,
