Hi all,

I have water leakage in my toilet and I have been figuring out how to fix this, can anyone with plumbing experience share some tips? I will buy some parts to replace if necessary.

Thanks everyone, I know it's quite an embarrassment doh.gif

you have to open the fitting first to see inside; usually the nut is below the handle,

simple diy. But if you are the sort that has not done this before, you won't know what to do. Pay someone to fix it and watch and learn when they are doing the fixing.

here sample of diy.

from ur video, ur handle type should have small allen key , open it. to remove the handle.
then check video to removal stopcock.
go shop for part replacement.

Close the main valve further upstream of this valve (you don't want water to spray put when you do the repair)

1) Remove handle - there's a small allen screw to unscrew, then push out the handle.

2) korek put this decorative piece.

Unscrew the cartridge inside (anti clockwise). Pull out the cartridge. Clean the cartridge, wipe with silicone grease. Install back if you cannot wait for new cartridge.

Take a photo of the cartridge to buy replacement cartridge. Remember to measure the dimensions (diameter, length, etc - anything that can ensure you buy the proper cartridge).

Replace with new cartridge.

If it's the cheapo type, the metal inside will be corroded and simple gasket repair wont be possible. You'll need to hack inside, change stopcock (get expensive brass body type), and reinstate the tiles.

off the toilet main, remove that wall tap and bring to hardware shop ask for same model/size replacement.
You go DIY you might get wrong, just pay a bit more at hardware shop, wrong can return.
