Apologies in advance, long text ahead.

I've tried both Myeasy86 and Yeslogistics — both have proper websites and active customer service via Facebook. I’ve always used them purely as forwarders — I buy and pay for the items myself, and they only handle receiving and forwarding from China to Malaysia.

[Myeasy86]
They’re quite established, and it seems they’re officially recognized by Taobao as a forwarder. When you enter their warehouse address in your Taobao address book, it gets auto-recognized and prompts you to link them for automated parcel registration.

What attracted me initially was their self-collection option — they automatically ship your parcel to their Malaysian warehouse for repacking, I believe they can save cost by filling their container up as fast as possible then ship out without waiitng. Back then, it was only RM2.50/kg (now it’s around RM3.50/kg, if I’m not mistaken). It’s a good deal if you’re not in a hurry. Parcels usually arrive in 2–4 weeks, and with self-collection, there’s no need to worry about your package being left outside your house.

That said, I’ve heard that their recent shipments have been consistently delayed. Not sure why, but if you check their recent reviews on Facebook, most are 1-star ratings.
A few things I personally don’t like about them:
1. Air shipping is now limited to Skynet only for last-mile delivery. They're not as good as Gdex in my area so I would try to pick Gdex if I had a choice.
2. Their restricted item list keeps getting longer — even laptops and tablets are now banned.

[Yeslogistics]
This was actually the first forwarding agent I used when I started shopping on Taobao. They were great at first, but something seemed to happen with their management (possibly during or even before COVID), which caused delays at the warehouse receiving end — likely due to being understaffed. Items would show as “delivered” in the China courier tracking system but wouldn’t appear in their system, and there was nothing you could do but wait. Their Facebook customer service also wasn’t very responsive back then. That’s when I switched to Myeasy86.

Recently, I needed to buy some laptop batteries, which Myeasy86 doesn’t allow, so I switched back to Yeslogistics again. They’ve improved a lot — I’d say they’re now on par with, or even slightly better than, Myeasy86. At least they still offer GDEX for last-mile delivery, which is better for me since they’re more reliable.

In addition to the above, I’ve also tried another forwarder that’s only contactable via WeChat. I’ve only used them for 闲鱼 payments and never tried their warehouse forwarding service. That said, I might not need them anymore — I recently found that I can now make payments on 闲鱼 using a VISA card linked to my Alipay account.

To sum up: you'll probably need to try a few different forwarders to see which one suits you best. Most of them offer similar services — purchasing, making payments, receiving parcels, checking, and forwarding. My personal tip is to check out their Facebook pages. Read the comments/reviews from other users and see how active they are in posting updates (e.g. holidays, customs delays, etc). Personally, I prefer forwarders who update regularly and are easy to reach when needed.

You do know taobao has direct shipping right? They've had it for years. Even before direct shipping they have forwarders with really good price to choose directly during checkout. Why people still use 3rd party agents like these?

High risk high reward

I've personally bought quite a lot of stuff from xianyu for a good amount of discount since I don't need to buy new with warranty when I can't even send it back to china to claim warranty. Might as well get a used/open box unit in good condition.

Most expensive purchase was a roborock handheld vacuum which cost me 2199 RMB, if I rmb correctly, back then a new unit from the official store was close to 3k RMB. And the one I bought was a review unit which came with extra goodies such as the mop head attachment.

You need to chat with the seller, talk to them, ask about item condition , ask for video etc, see their previous trade record and then proceed cautiously.
If the price is too good to be true, just skip it.

For myeasy86 there's an option to include "tax" if you opt for air, only requires extra RM1 per KG so I add on sometimes.

Sadly there are no such option for sea but so far, I never get taxed once.

Me and my sister have over 130 combined parcel orders with them.

Anyway now I finally get to be the lucky one like those negative reviews, they say it could take few days to 3 weeks dry.gif
