EU can't even agree as a bloc, much less tie up with CN KR JP + SEA + Africa + Latin America

Let me know when ASEAN can work together as a bloc (ref: Myanmar issues)

If Trump can unite the East Asian states with their historical baggage, SEA with the different priorities, Africa with their different problems, and how much does those 3 parties know about Latin America, that would be a literal achievement in its own right.

Which with Trump, one cannot rule out...........

The only way for CN KR JP talks to work is if CN is willing to give up some of their manufacturing and market pricing practices to accommodate the koreans and japs. otherwise the koreans and japs are not stupid, they know the chinese many of them have this thinking "what can you sell me I cant make cheaper? you go eat dust!". even non PRC chinese have this thinking egs:

not going to happened. South Korea has nothing left to offer China. Japan maybe their carbon fibre tech, that is just 1 series ahead of china, other than that nothing much from Japan anymore

Previously got forum member mentioned how China people are punished for buying ICE. Even without tariffs can Japanese and Korean EVs be as competitive as Chinese EVs?
*
car is not the only thing that is important. industrial goods, vehicles and machinery are arguably even more important and china has been making inroads into these traditionally strong korean jap markets. ships etc too. also kpop still banned in china iinm.

You mean its not because of:
- high cost of living
- Housing, education, and healthcare costs risen significantly
- 4-2-1 problem
- 996 work hours
- 2 generations brought up under the 1 child policy so they are used to only being the only child
- Smaller houses that are expensive

Nah, semua salah k-pop!

Trauma therapist Tan Yi Shan said: “Singapore is a country largely built on immigrants, many of whom were too busy living in a state of survival to prioritise their own mental or emotional well-being, let alone their children's well-being.

“Our parents cannot give to us what they themselves have not received or experienced from their own parents (our grandparents), whose immediate priorities were most likely ensuring their families' basic survival.”

Ms Nur advised children to consider that their parents may have acted out of misguided love or unawareness rather than intentional harm.

the value of having kids is at an ATL. like everything else the market value will adjust eventually.

IN FOCUS: The ‘declining value’ of having children in Singapore – and how to fix it
"The question is, why do I need to have a kid? And if I cannot answer that, I don't think it's right to have a kid born into this world," says one Singaporean.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump-spoke-...-141853292.html

(Bloomberg) -- Japan looks set to get priority in US tariff talks, moving to the front of a long line of countries seeking to roll back President Donald Trump’s so-called reciprocal duties, which are scheduled to kick in on Wednesday.
