Bough a new mouse cause the scroll wheel on G304 doesn't feel nice. Finally had the time to take it apart and clean it out. Turns out the thingamajig (idk what u call the thing) isn't really stuck, tho it is dirty, but the wheel itself is slightly wider than the thing that's keeping it in place, leading to it feeling like shit everytime u wanna scroll. I checked with my friend newly bought G102 and I can confirm the mouse wheel is ever so slightly wider. Is there any place in Selangor that sells G102 mouse wheel or something similar/better and ONLY sells just the mouse wheel? Would be nicer if it's somewhere near Gombak as thats where im currently situated. Would Lowyat has a shop that sells these kinds of things?

Had a similar problem with a G603. Ended up basically unusable.

Some Logi gaming mice are just not built to last, and neither are Razer (only slightly better).

So far for me, G703 and G304 are OK, can last long.

The material doesn't seem like something that can be sanded down honestly, though I am quite inexperienced in this sort of thing. And plus I have neither the tools nor the skills to do it properly

Well I mean this was already the problem when I first bought it, didnt bother with trying to get a replacement at the time cause Covid and I wasn't sure how the process would be considering I was still just a clueless middle school student and was kinda hoping the problem would go away after a few days of use. Is it possible that I just have a defective unit, by that i meant the wheel specifically.

Yeah my G603 had the problem from the start. It could probably be the wheel or the sensor problem. Basically, when that happens need to return / replace, otherwise it's more or less junk. There are some videos on YT that offer some help, but depending on the severity of the issue there is a high chance the mouse is junk.

I stopped buying Logitech after five G502 and my G903 mouse wheel rubber came out. Quality is crap.

I buy mouse with modular switches now.

Even my Razer Deathadder V2 HX has died, although was just sitting in the box for a few months.

Any suggestion for a good gaming mouse is appreciated ...

Using Asus Gladius III right now. So far so good. I don't have to worry about the switch giving up since it is replaceable. Already more than 2 years old with the stock switch.

Replaced mine with aluminium wheel from taobao on my GPW, initially it scroll loudly but after some silicone grease, everything quiets down to stock level.

Maybe can have a look at taobao or shopee?

Exactly this. Meanwhile, some Logitech fanboys had the nerve to call me a rage quitter. I went through two G502s — neither lasted more than two years.

Logitech just doesn’t make mice like they used to. The original MX518 was a beast — mine lasted 10 years without a single issue. Nothing they’ve released since has matched that level of durability or feel.

Eventually I got fed up with overpriced mice that don’t hold up, so in 2020 I gave the Lenovo Legion M500 a shot. Been using it ever since, and it’s still going strong after five years.

I was so impressed with how well it’s held up that I bought a second one as a backup. Sealed it in a vacuum bag with some silica gel — just in case. Ready to go when this one finally gives out (if it ever does).

Well the new wheel finally arrived and it can finally scroll smoothly! Tho it doesnt feel as nice or smooth as my friend's G102, but most definitely 1000x better than what it was, I wonder what is this still missing
