I never try Oppo / Oneplus china ROM , i have read some online and have some question on it.


If we get the phone with China ROM , we will get normal OTA update right By ColorOS?

But i do read that if China ROM flash to Global Oxygen ROM , then wont able to get OTA update?

i saw the Global ROM price at around Rm4k++ for 16+512gb , huge price compared to China ROM LOL , and some Laz/Shopee Seller that mention the oneplus 13 they sold was done "FLASH" to oxygenos OS , i do read some on reddit that if flash to Oxygen OS then each time OTA have to re-format the phone , or ROOTING the phone to get the OTA , but might sacrifice banking-apps because bank apps might detect your phone rooted and not able to use. That make me confuse a little bit so i'm here to looking for the answer.

so basically if the china rom flashed to oxygenOS , then the phone i use wont ever receive OTA anymore right ? Base on your explanation , mean that each time there is OTA update , i have to go xda to download the latest OTA and manually flash to the phone? If without doingt his , then i will be using the same firmware until the phone rosak right


People who wish to flashed to OxygenOS is just to get those Google Assistant active? As i know China Rom can't active the "hello google" , i believe the OxygenOS can be use right as its consider as "GLOBAL" Rom. And also might can be use the AI feature in the phone due to china ROM might not able to use some AI feature in here as it cloud base , like the china IQOO i;m using something will miss connect to the cloud base to china while using the AI function.

Now it make me more understand , no wonder i keep on read the comment on reddit saying that if want to OTA then have to wipe the data everytime. So anyway to update the OTA without needed to Wipe the data?


Yes i'm using the 小v , just that sometime it will need sometime to load to give me answer as it need connect to china cloud base , sometime might get Network error and fail to give answer , now i using chatgpt & Gemini more as it can give me more faster answer , just need to enter the apps to get my answer each time , more steps , but it work 100%

If next time i would like to try Oppo/Oneplus , definitely just use their ColorOS15 instead of flash to Oxygen OS.

The 8E & 9400 chip is very power effective , it help alot to extend the battery life , now android phone with this 2 chip can easily last a day without big problem.

Ya , CN rom doesnt support Hello Google , if u have smart home , then cant use voice control , GGWP

Seriously? I heard someone kena tax for electronic item like handphone and its not cheap to pay the tax.

By disable this , u wont ever get delay notification anymore.

If u have budget , can go taobao get 3D hot-bending temp glass , alittle bit pricy but worth it 😆 , my iphone 16pm , vivox200s also using the 3D hot bending temp glass. NO problem with ultra sonic sensor , unlock as snappy as naked.

Last how long depend on your usage , if u everyday gaming for sure the coating degrade faster , the price was around 110-120RMB for 2pcs , should be around RM90++ (Rm40++1pcs) included shipping , u can get during 9.9 , 10.10 , 11.11 for cheaper price.

Because only 3D hot-bending technology able to give full coverage screen with curve on edge. U know i apply the 3D-Hot bending on my wife iphone , she didnt even notice there was temp glass on it

Op12 was curve screen , the OP13 was quad-curve , the 3D hot bending from this brand was started for quad-curve phone , like the OP12 Curve screen might need UV GLUE type one only able to stick properly , dont have those 3d hot bend

I believe the 3D hot-bending was introduce for the quad-curve screen only.

3D Hot-bending have the most thin black-frame that they able to make for tempered glass , for my vivo x200s and iphone 16pm , it perfectly edge to edge without cover the screen (both of them are flat screen) , i'm not sure for OP13 because i dont own one , but on china xhs douyin review , 3D hot-bending was the best temp glass they could offer for Quad-Screen user without need the UV Glue.

ya that true haha , but if flat screen with very thin bazel like iphone 16pm , then only 3D Hot-bending could offer the most thin bazel with edge to edge coverage , normal temp glass can't meet this level. Once u try 3D hot-bending , alittle bit hard to back to normal temp glass. The only downside was....pricy


I heard that China going back to flat screen on all the new coming device.

165hz only active for gaming , for daily usage they will stay on LTPO 1hz - 120hz ， and the 165hz already started to support alot of fps china games , so it not really a gimmick now.

If u are into FPS gaming 165hz is just HUGE HUGE HUGE improvement over 120fps. U can see the diff between 165 vs 120 on this video.

sure , even 90fps is more than enough for normal scrolling usage , 120fps at first created also because FPS games already hit 120fps , but with the recent release of the powerful SoC , they finally can boots up to 165hz for gaming and get better experience. If not wasted lo so strong the SoC just for whatsapp/tiktok.
